I'm not getting money or anything for letting everyone know
this, etc., but I just found this FREE spam reporting web
site a few days ago that I've been using... I'm getting an
ENORMOUS amount of spam so maybe this will (probably!!!
lol........... :P ) interest someone
else here as well!!! Anyways, here's the link to the site
and a little bit of information on it, also!!! FIGHT
SPAM!!! lol........... I sure am!!! Anyways, here it is:
SpamCop.net:
Beware of cheap imitations
Other sites pretend to be "the" SpamCop. This site started
in 1998 and remains the premier spam reporting service.
Recognized by ISPs, search engines and the press. Google
lists over 4,000 sites linking to spamcop.net.
Good luck and ROCK ON!!!

dont use it.
it's shit and before you know it it not only blocks spam
but normal emails as well!
for instance; if spammers use the same provider as you this provider could be classified as a spammer and any email that goes through it will be blocked.
your choise of course... |

That's not true, egon, 'cause what you are actually doing is
reporting the spam DIRECTLY to where the spam comes from
(*** THEIR *** ISP)... This service just provides you easy
ways and tools to do that... I wouldn't worry!!! No one
could be that big AND be able to block your regular emails and
get away with it!!! Take care!!!

i'm a little wary of this...i had an experience similar to egon's....i signed on to "Go Back" blocker.well it blocked EVERYTHING. finally had to go to an internet cafe...because it blocked everything and the only way out was through their on-line service??? so, went to the cafe, paid 8 bucks, printed the "escape route", came home and took half a day to escape.
moral of the tale, be careful. |

problem is tha spam uses fake email addresses, ip addresses etc etc.
best 2 step remedy; block & delete.
DON'T click on the links/images to websites and DON'T sign up to be removed from their mailing list ( both ways you only confirm your email is valid, thus more spam will follow).
And when you leave your email on "open spaces" on the net,
do it like "[email protected]".

well said,egon...block & delete. they will keep coming, but just keep on blocking & deleting. it does become tedious. |

Oh, you're probably right, you guys... lol.......... Well, I
don't know for SURE if it works and/or helps or not, etc., but
it LOOKS like it might work so I guess I'll just wait and
see... It's not a blocking service, though... I'll take all of
your advice, though, so thanks anyways!!! Thanks again and
PEACE!!!

martha, i'm happy you're taking the advice. the thing i installed wasn't really a blocking device....so they said..either, it was supposed to"filter spam". it blocked everything, as i said. |
