When you have a bog-standard account, do your pictures get stored in your photoalbum on the site only for a short period of time??? Mine have disappeared, I just noticed. Well, all but the ones I uploaded more recently.....

they stay there untill the end of internet time.
(unless it was kiddie porn of course)
but if you didn't secure yr account, then maybe someone deleted them for fun...

How many photos did ya have in your account? They only give ya "so much" space for free. Your whole photo library won't fit! 
Me thinks P and Bucky must have to have the worlds largest photobucket catalogue imaginable!! |

Pretty please could you provide instructions (in monosyllables) as to how I secure my photobucket account, Egon? Merci!
Someone must indeed have erased them "for fun",but what I can't understand is why my signature and avatar are back (they were gone this morning, only red x's left), when the pictures they were linked to are all gone....Mind you, who gives a shit, I'll just file it away under "undeciferable mysteries of cyber-space".....
To be quite honest, I can't even be bothered to upload them again, I just hope whoever did it gets a really painful papilloma on their genitals....

Only about a dozen, or so. I only opened the thing to post in the Paris-pee-pee thread, and then thought I might as well do the avatar and signature "thing"....Quite honestly, apart from occasionally talking to people here, I don't "do the internet".I never go to any other chatrooms. No interest, even less time. And I can't see the point of having all your pictures loaded up somewhere for total strangers to see. I'm sure it's a generational thing, but I'd much rather have a living person in the room that I can show and explain my pictures to. Don't see the attraction of MyFace either (My Space + Facebook). I have a very rich life and plenty of real friends in the real world and ,frankly, don't need a pseudo-cyber-life, the whole thing is a bit too narcissistic and voyeuristic for my taste. Would rather take the dog out for a walk than spend spare time in front of a stupid computer...
BTW: got myself tix for Brucey in Manchester yesterday...

And I am with ya..face to face people contact is always the best.
Make sure under your account options that you have made your account private..then no one can delete your photos unless they have your password.
Wish I could help ya Jo...maybe it is a bandwidth thingy(sounds like I know what I'm talking about doesn't it) that makes the red X's show up. But if the photos are not in you account, they will not show up on RO-I do know that much |

I just have a standard acct. My settings are set for privacy. Not all pics I use come from my own acct. Only a few have been removed for violating terms. It's funny, because most of my pics are from other photobucket accts. I've found nudes, and they're still up, and have had other pics removed that weren't nudes... Flickr is a good site too... Don't use Imageshack or Tripod, they don't allow hotlinking.
DO NOT ever put nude pics of yourself online... lol!
What may seem like a good idea at the time, may be the biggest mistake you ever make. I really don't think this girl thought this funny, sexy pic, taken for god knows why, would end up on a message board, as a warning of what not to do on Photobucket!

OK. The account is private now, and the pictures for my avatar and signature are erased, BUT somehow still appear....???.... I do find the internet as mysterious sometimes as the Immaculate Conception, Dear!
And guess what? "Hubby" just declared that going to a Bruce Springsteen concert is not his "thang", so now I have one spare ticket AND a guest bathroom stocked up with lovely Provencale soaps in very handy small sizes....
Plus, with any luck it should have stopped raining in Yorkshire by then, so if you have airmiles to burn..................
(We could turn this into the "Sheep2 Summit", think about it!)

You DO crack me up, had I ever mentioned this before???
I can see that perhaps looking at seemingly dead animals with "Paris's thong" draped on them could perhaps seem cruel to someone,so in theory they could have been removed by the site, equally my dog dressed as a sheep, but the shark my friend photographed on our last dive near the Brother's Islands????? And Jeep's brilliant moonwalk with thong??? Don't think so. Most definitely erased "for fun".
But never mind, they're easily replaced.

Awhh thanks Jo, but please don't tempt me ..Dublin is on the weekend and you know how easy it would be to go there and then a little puddle jumper to your neck of the woods..but alas the "air miles" do not even help. Damn, why can't there be "unlimited" funds at my disposal?!! |
