Ten Thousand Motels Pic Thread...kinda. I wanna see some cool clothes.
The Dylan 1965 look has always been one of my favorites.

The Brits always loved their ties.

I can't believe she went on TV like that....at that time. The timing was all wrong. Someone should have been fired.

the 70's was a good era for waistcoats. My fave Stones look is the '78 one, when Keith seemed to be quite fond of them

Ten Thousand Motels Almost as bad as when Dick Nixon's media handlers fucked up before he debated Kennedy in 1960.

>Nixon had seriously injured his knee and spent two weeks in the hospital. By the time of the first debate he was still twenty pounds underweight, his pallor still poor. He arrived at the debate in an ill-fitting shirt, and refused make-up to improve his color and lighten his perpetual "5:00 o'clock shadow." Kennedy, by contrast, had spent early September campaigning in California. He was tan and confident and well-rested. "I had never seen him looking so fit," Nixon later wrote.<

>The most famous politician in history to sport a five o'clock shadow, at a time when it was still considered a faux pas, was U.S. president Richard Nixon, who is said to have lost the 1960 presidential election in part due to his unfortunate stubbled appearance during the televised United States presidential election debates with John F. Kennedy.<

LOL. What would we inscribe as epitaph????
And what would the OBITUARY be like?????
Sadly I'm getting busier and busier (I know, just waiting for another layer of paint to dry), otherwise I'd start a "write your own obituary" thread.....

You win. This era of Bowie was simply amazing fashion-wise.

Speaking of Bowie, shall he tour again?

His wife is incredibly attractive...

Dino, I can't see anything on BowieNet per touring hints--lately it's all about vintage shirt auctions and fan giveaways. Also, I really liked his Serious Moonlight 80's look when he dressed to the nines in a vintage zoot suit (sometimes w/ key fob and hat)--leaning in to the mic, angled to his blonde pompadour, leg shaking a perfectly creased pant leg to the beat of Modern Love...

Dude even looks suave carvin' a turkey! [circa '69 Space Oddity -- Ian Hunter and Mr. David Jones could pass as bros in this pic ]

I know when to go out. I know when to stay in.

Bowie got arrested for possession of pot, which belonged to Iggy Pop, he (Bowie) was a Cocaine addict, which as you know is not a very favorite of Coke users, but that's why the mug shots were taken, he turned up in court dressed like some gangster from a 30's movie, which is why Bowie is King in dressing for Rock Image.
