Topic: Are the Stones at work?.......From Ian Return to archive

Ok,
Don't thrash me here just take it for what it is. It has been a month since anyone has seen or heard from Mick, Keith, and Charlie. Woody recently resurficed to do an Art showing but that has been it. So I think we all know where they are. Over the past couple of years there has not been this long without any sign of any of them them. And remember what Mick said about starting in November, not to mention it is factual he and Keith wrote alot of new stuff recently in preparation for an album. I think they are at work.

Anyone agree?

Gazza I'd say its quite possible, that Mick and Keith may have got together at some point in the last few weeks to work on some songs or do some pre-production work, but I would be surprised if the band have been recording. That tends to be the way they work in recent years - it means less time required actually recording songs if they have more work done on them beforehand

The Stones are such high profile tabloid-wise that if they are together in one place doing any work that there will be some local journalist or photographer somewhere who will have a story or photo of them. Its very hard for someone like Mick Jagger to be in, say , Paris, New York or LA for a few weeks for example without being photographed at SOME point.

Ronnie is playing in London with the Charlatans tomorrow night.

Now, is that a carefully concealed "I-know-something" promise or just a stoic reaction?!
December 7th, 2004 05:58 AM
F505 stoic because what's the use of those endless speculations?

Iris Just found this in the Undercover mailing list:

from Bill Wyman's diary (uploaded today):

November 30, 2004:

....... At 7:00pm Charlie Watts called, having just got
back from working in France for the last few weeks with the
rest of the Rolling Stones. ..........

Jair I simply can't imagine Mick working this time of year.

StonesChick That's hilarious, you can't picture Mick working this time of year.

The man is a workaholic, but he loves it so much it doesn't seem like work.

Yeah. They say that that Scott lady is rather demanding. Now I, of course have no real information on that but that's what they say.
