Topic: Value Of Old Albums? Return to archive
December 3rd, 2004 10:00 PM
Happy Motherfucker!! I have a ton of old albums and 45's, such as the first couple original releases of The Stones, Beatles and Elvis, among many others. I'm trying to find some good websites that will give me an aprrox value of these great records. Does anyone have any suggestions where I should look to find this info?

VoodooChileInWOnderl I have an xl-ent book "Official Price Guide to Records 2001" by Jerry Osborne, it gives a very good idea about how much your 45s and old LPs costs if you want to sell them

Happy Motherfucker!! Since I am not a big time record collector, I'm not too interested in buying a book to keep up to date on the value of records. Is there a website that you can check the value of records without buying the book or something? Here are a list of some of my records that i'm trying to find the value of, so if you happen to have some knowledge of the value of these, please let me know.

1. "Meet The Beatles" Capitol Records number t-2047 (t-x-2-2047) Album and cover in fair condition, no major scratches.

2. Beatles '65 Capitol Records number T-2228 (t-x-1-2228) No album cover, record in good condition.

3. The Rolling Stones "Big Hit (high tide and green grass)- London NPS-1
ZAL 7167/8 BW, good condition

4. The Stones "Englands Newest Hit Makers- Red Label, made in England ffrr, LL.3375, good condition

5. The Stones- Out Of Our Heads, Red Label, Made In England By decca LL.3429, good condition

6. The Stones- Bootleg Album "Live From England- From Albert Hall 1974"
No numbers, green albums.

7. The Stones- Bootleg Album "Germany 1982" Caution Records 682-1

8. The Stones- "Gimme Shelter" decca ffss blue label SKL 5101, made in England, great condition.

9. The Stones- Sticky Fingers, Zipper on front. COC-59100 (ST-RS-712190SO)

10. The Stones- Special Disco Version of Far Away Eye's- DK 4609
great condition

11. The Grateful Dead- Wake Of The Flood GD-01 , This album may be of value do to the mistake in the song listing on the album. It has the songs listed as 3. Row Jimmy and 4. Stella Blue, but on the actual album the songs are reversed with Stella Blue playing in the number 3 slot and Row Jimmy in the number 4 slot, great condition.

12.Chuck Berry- One Dozen Berrys, Chess LP 1432, 8690, fair condition.

13. Little Richard, Specialty Records, BMI ASCAP SP-2103-2, made in the USA, good condition.

These are just a few of the many records that I have, but after looking through my collection, these look as if the have pretty good value. I also have many 45's that I need to look up. I hope that someone can give me the ball-park pricing on these records. Is there a good website that you can actually look up the value of records without purchasing a book?
Thanks
