Charlie was particularly playing well in memphis the other night and the band showed its appreciation by walking him to the front of the stage during the intros.

PeerQueer That is one classy looking mother-fucker.

Best drum man in the biz.

No contest.

corgi37 I love that man!

In a non-gay way, of course.

He is just all class. He's such a anti-posuer. And you can just tell he loves playing drums as much as ever. And why not? He's a master now.

CHIEFMOON Yes, indeed.
Unruffled aplomb...

And this pair show both joy at labors and attention to the sublest of detail,

On that eventide I myself was most impressed by the band, the small setting, my host and hostess for the gig; but most impessive was the the odd "nod" from the office type when I was most_duly_bagged by two neocons upon exit...

Bruno Stone Best drummer ever. No one has his style.

Do you remeber them in the MTV party playing Love Is Strong/Start Me Up, Charlie played in suit! That was cool.

By the way, that was a fucking good performance. Mick especially was on fire.

I think we should start a Charlie Watts pics thread.
