"Why'd you have to leave us like that, you sod!
I could think of a hundred other fuckers who should have gone instead of him!
He wasn't even on my list!" - -

AS VEGAS (AP) - A collection of more than 50 Andy Warhol celebrity paintings and works on paper will debut at the Bellagio Gallery of Fine Art in February.

Warhol's work will be on view Feb. 7-Sept. 7 at the casino gallery. Liza Minnelli, who was a friend of the artist, will narrate an audio tour, the gallery said Thursday.

Among the exhibit's works will be portraits of celebrities from three decades: the 1960s with Jacqueline Kennedy and Elizabeth Taylor; the 1970s with Mick Jagger, Dennis Hopper and Mao Tse-tung; and the 1980s with Deborah Harry, Sylvester Stallone and Michael Jackson.

The exhibition also will feature one of the last complete sets of the famed 1967 Marilyn Monroe screen-print portfolio.

Famed for his portraits of Monroe and paintings of Campbell's soup cans, Warhol's career also included ventures in design, photography, film, television, writing and publishing.

He died Feb. 22, 1987, in New York City.
