WattsAtScotts I was listening to this today, and Crazy Mama sounds different on this one, than on Black & Blue. Is this a different take of the song?

Egbert Can't say if it's a different take or not, but the SITS version is approx 30 seconds shorter than it's B&B counterpart. Also, the remastering sounds better (or at least louder) on the SITS version.

VoodooChileInWOnderl Yes, it is a different take, both takes were recorded during the same sessions at Musicland Studios in Munich late March or early April 1975, same musicians too.

As far as I've always understood, its merely an edited version of the 'Black and Blue' cut but with a different mix (and for the purposes of this re-release, remastered)

Nah..it would not only have to be on an official and currently available album, but one which would have had to have sold at least three million copies for it to be considered a 'rarity' !

Soldatti The edits on SITS are from Nov-Dec 1980, the whole band made reworks there.
