ulfk It's over. The first US leg.The Joint presented a band playing on top and they have just played better and better during the 12 concerts I have seen. The mix and sound quality was absolutely perfect and together with the
volume that I find have been too high to often it was fantastic.
The same quality next evening at MGM Grand Garden.

A big difference though. When I left The Joint I felt totally empty and until I fell asleep it was as if I had suddenly "lost my religion" and that is a
hard thing for the soul.WHY THE HELL?

This gigs costs 750 and 1000 USDs respectively if you wanna be seated. For that you firstly expect comfortable chairs which certainly wasn't the case and to see the stage with the audicence sitting or standing. But the floor
sloped too little for this to be possible and as most were standing I don't think anyone a bit back saw the stage without more or less difficulty. So for the facilities a big rip off.

But the Stones sounded so good?Yes indeed they did but again paying so much for their 6th club gig where they had talked and written so much about different setlists for stadiums, arenas and clubs it was foul play by the
Stones and again a rip off.2 I say TWO "obscure songs",namely Worried about you and their cover of I can't turn you loose. The rest was their old hard rocks so in all it was a perfect stadium show in a small club
for fantasy sums.

Someone said....well this is Las Vegas...and I was stunned. Are Stones afraid of losing some fans among celebrities and others who don't know much about
them?Absolutely fascinating. These people should instead listen to some albums first and Stones, the rebels don't give a damn if they should loose or not get a few new fans.

I was so downed by this I had decided not to go to MGM the day after but after a good nights sleep everything seemed different. And thank "god" I went. The MGM show was fantastic and a "normal" arena setlist with 5 I say
FIVE "obscure" songs. Here you had comfortable seats,a brilliant view overlooking the arena and the band giving it all again. They really deserve the break now.

A special thanks to Ronnie Wood's strenght to get off his dangerous habits with the effect that we now have two equal guitars and it also gives Keith an incentive to friendly "competition" with Ron which has been a joy to
see.And Mick has been absolutely amazing all thru....his "screams" on Worried about you at the Joint was...I lack words...and Charlie has banged
heavier then ever and never a single mistake, but always in his so relaxed style. He is a jazz drummer so he knows how to relax when playing contrary too many rock drummers.

Ronnie has gotten extra applause for his reborn playing which is amazing. At MGM they did CYHMK and he played the ending solo with all his finesses. And at MGM a *shock*.CHARLIE came walking down to the
front, obviously thanks to Keith, who escorted him.

So despite my views on the Joint show both shows together were amazing when I do the stunt to think of the Joint setlist as the MGM one and vice versa.

littleredrooster YOU ARE RIGHT ON, ULF!!
That was my exact feeling as I left the Joint show! Where's the daring setlist???
Mick was definitely playing to the celebs in the Golden Circle.
Did you see them sitting down during some of the numbers?

MGM was the best arena show that I've heard this tour with Oakland a close second!

I already have my seats for February at MGM !!

parmeda Rooster...
What ever happened with the e-bay fiasco with your seats? Anyone claim them to be theirs?

Glad to hear you and Ulf had a memorable time...MGM must have kicked you right out of your shoes.

littleredrooster The Ebay fiasco did not present a problem. No one else challenged my rightful place at The Joint!
After a number of Email notifications Ebay never personally responded. Ticketmaster did respond and advised me to bring all documentation.
Despite all my attempts to warn potential purchasers of this ripoff, I heard that some poor fan did send $2K to the thief and lost their $$$!

Holly Hanson999 Vegas! What a trip! My sis and I arrived Friday from
San Fran. We had our tix for the Joint but not MGM.
Hard Rock was the absolute ultimate. We had GA but we
were able to move way down-thanks to security. My friend
I met,Dave from Florida(his nickname should be "Jack"
considering how much we drank together) snuck off for
a quick jolt in the most secretive of places to say the
least and returned to Keith's opening riffs of JJF about
ten feet away. Totally Awesome!. Mick was incredible on
Worried Abount You! We just got back last night. Looking
forward to Europe 2003 - Dave you tell me when and where
and I'm there....and call me on my cell!!!
