MARIO TESTINO, Kenneth Cole and Bianca Jagger will mark yesterday's World Aids Day with a party tonight to celebrate the launch of fashion's fight against the disease which currently affects 38 million people across the world. The latest campaign, in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund Interact Worldwide and Marie Stopes International, focuses on women living with, or affected by HIV and Aids. An exclusive publication, Women to Women: Positively Speaking, is launched today filled with black and white portraits that Testino has taken in collaboration with Vogue's Lucinda Chambers. "I photograph women every day; I am regularly exposed to beautiful, privileged and healthy women through my work," says Testino. "For this publication, I have taken photographs of women from around the world, from diverse backgrounds, who have been deeply affected by HIV/Aids. I hope that through these images, we can reach a number of people and develop their awareness of this virus and its devastating effects." With a starry list of committee members likely to attend tonight's party at the Kensington Palace Orangery, including Rose Marie Bravo, Naomi Campbell, Jade Jagger, Jemima Khan, Stella McCartney, Elle Macpherson, Madonna, Kate Moss, Claudia Schiffer, Kristin Scott Thomas, Vivienne Westwood and Emma Thompson, it is bound to be quite a night. Women to Women: Positively Speaking is available to order from http://www.fashionfightsaids.org. (December 2 2004, AM)
