VoodooChileInWOnderl Derek Jeter, Ellen DeGeneres and Hugh Jackman Host "SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE" in December (12/1-12/15/01)

SNL rounds out a great year with a star-packed December featuring Derek Jeter, Ellen DeGeneres, Hugh Jackman, and musical guests Mick Jagger, No Doubt, Shakira and Bubba Sparxxx

Capping off one of the shows most talked about years, SNL lights up December with A-List hosts and musical guests throughout the month.

On December 1, SNL welcomes New York Yankee shortstop and four-time World Series Champion Derek Jeter as host -- following in the footsteps of other superstar athletes like Michael Jordan, Charles Barkley, Wayne Gretzky, Joe Montana, Walter Peyton, Chris Evert, Deion Sanders and George Foreman whove hosted the show.

Jeter is a two-time All-Star MVP, a World Series MVP in 2000 and holds a number of Major League Baseball records, putting him in the Yankee pantheon alongside such legends as Mickey Mantle, Babe Ruth, Lou Gehrig and Joe DiMaggio.

Two musical guests will join Jeter - Latin sensation Shakira (whose first English language CD Laundry Service debuted at #3 on the Billboard chart) and Southern rapper Bubba Sparxxx (whose debut LP Dark Days, Bright Nights also burst onto the charts at #3). A regular occurrence in the shows early years, this marks the first time in eleven years that one SNL episode has had two different musical guests.

December 8 finds rock icon Mick Jagger making a return to SNL performing from his critically praised new solo record "Goddess in the Doorway which surpasses all his solo work and any Rolling Stones album since Some Girls according to a five-star Rolling Stone review.

Headlining the December 8th show is one of Hollywoods hottest rising stars -- Hugh Jackman. Known best for his role as Wolverine in the blockbuster X-Men, Jackman will soon star in the romantic comedy Kate and Leopold with Meg Ryan. Recently he could be seen opposite Ashley Judd in Someone Like You and John Travolta in Swordfish.

Finally, on December 15, Ellen DeGeneres who brought the crowd to their feet in her triumphant turn as host of the often re-scheduled Emmy Awards telecast hosts SNL with musical guest No Doubt. DeGeneres currently stars and executive produces The Ellen Show on CBS and won an Emmy and widespread attention for her groundbreaking series Ellen which featured the first openly gay leading ch aracter on television. She was also twice-nominated for an Emmy this year for her comedy special The Beginning.

No Doubt makes their second appearance on SNL performing from their fifth record Rock Steady - the bands most eclectic record to date - spanning styles from Jamaican dancehall to hip-hop and rock."

Stonesmillenium2001 Mick should perform three songs on snl!
I would recommend he perform God Gave me everything, Just Another Night and Brand New Set of Rules.
