Flairville Hi! I've just been to ticketmaster.co.uk and ran a search for the Stones. There a four groups they are rolling stones, rolling stones platinum members, tribute acts and a foreign platinum members link. It says check back soon for info.

Sleepy London Clown Thanks for pointing that out Gazza, my typing has always been f**king awful! Mind you rollingstones.com has the Don Valley show as taking place in Scheffield!

Casino Boogie is my wife, when i go to IORR, alwys defaults to her ID and I can never be bothered to change it!

A corrected list is below, with some of the show ID codes noted next to them, thought there might be a pattern forming, or maybe some unused numbers in a sequence for future shows, but couldn't see anythong

All UK shows looking good for me at the moment

Gazza thanks for the info....I didnt realise you were the same person (or rather, that it was your wife). Just didnt want to omit acknowledgement to someone for posting the info.

Mickijaggerroo has unearthed the following info from the Amsterdam ticket sale test page regarding the ticket prices.

Whilst my command of Dutch is severely limited, its enough to be able to see that the ticket prices dont appear to be too excessive (hopefully the UK gigs will be the same this time)

Gazza I'm a bit frustrated at the fact the tour starts in Spain in late May.

I wanted to go to Barcelona as I can get a direct flight from here, but I'm on holiday in Italy until the day the tour begins....

Sorry, Voodoo
November 28th, 2005 06:15 PM
Sleepy London Clown Thanks Gazza, yes, I thought they looked reasonable, but couldn't remember how much I paid for Stade de France last time around, I bought them on ebay for a little over face, £75 or EUR 75 seems to ring a bell, probably £75. I think Olympia was EUR 56, but they were obviously severely discounted compared to arenas/stadiums (not that I was that lucky of course! Had to resort to ebay for slightly more than face on that)

thanks merci
same ole same ole no switzerland on list, is it "last minute" (aka 3-4 weeks ahead announcement ) again or is it in the swamps?
November 28th, 2005 08:00 PM
Gazza I guess that in some cases (including Switzerland) theyre just still in negotiations as to which city or venue

The fact that Switzerland is on that list would suggest that it should be announced reasonably soon. After all, there is only 1 Dutch show there and nothing for Berlin. Theres no doubt there will be more shows added, especially in Holland and Germany...

They may not announce all of these shows at the same time - maybe 20 or 25

Mathijs It seems the Stones are more popular in Europe than in the US at the moment. In the US they do the arena's and smaller stadiums (up to 30.000), and in Europe they do the big stadiums of 60.000 people again. The prices are lower than I expected, $140 max.

corgi37 Europe starts 27 May, eh? So, i assume, the fuckers can fit Australia into their plans. Whats after U.S.? Sth America? Then what? Do they go back to U.S. in 2006? I think they do.

Man, i am getting edgy.

Angiegirl Schedule sucks! They go where I won't be at that moment...
Oh well, it's just stadiums so far, I won't bother anyway with those. I will probably get a stadium ticket next year as I have to see them at least one time of course, last-minute, but I won't bother getting tickets this weekend when the sales start. I've never been less excited about Stones date announcements and presales I must admit.

Gazza The Wembley prices seem on a par with Twickenham last time (£150 for seating on the pitch...even crappy seats - all the way down to £60..however when you go to buy tickets and when you choose the tiered seating tickets they only offer you a rough estimate of where your seat is - "LOW",..I mean, what the fuck good is that? I realise the stadium hasnt been fully built yet,but Christ..

The ticket prices on the continent (if Amsterdam is anything to go by) seem pretty reasonable. Cant understand why the UK shows are so much more expensive. Its not like our standard of living is higher. I only hope the rest of the UK shows arent as expensive as Wembley. If theyre going to try and sell tickets for £150 to sit halfway back on the pitch in Glasgow or Sheffield, they'll bomb.

I would imagine however the other UK shows will have standing on the pitch, because as there will be 5 stadium shows in the UK, that will be something around 280,000 tickets available - about 100,000 more than last time, which was mostly arenas. Theres no way in hell the Stones are going to sell over a quarter of a million tickets if theyre asking £150 to sit on the pitch at those shows.

What has irked me from looking at the availability of Wembley tickets is that if youre a fan club member whose bought a membership package, youre entitled to just four tickets for one show. If youre an American Express card holder, you can buy 12 per show. Good to see theyve got their priorities right!

According to rs.com the prices vary across Europe and the average ticket price is 75 Euro. If thats the case, thats pretty reasonable (then again I said the same when I made the mistake of taking Cohl's statement at Juilliard about ticket prices for the US shows at face value)

Personally, I'll probably do Wembley, Glasgow and a couple of shows on the continent if I can decent flight packages. I fancy a weekend in Holland and maybe Berlin, if a show is announced there. Dublin's a maybe. I was right when I predicted all along they wouldnt play Croke Park, but Phoenix Park (for those who dont know Dublin) isnt a stadium but a public park, so its a 'field' show. There'll be no seats at that one. They could get a huge crowd into that place. A million saw the Pope there in 1979, but I dont know what theyd limit it to for concerts. Maybe about 70 - 80,000. I'm not sure about the appeal for me of that show. I'm glad its not Croke, but a field show doesnt really strike me as a lot of fun.

Theres so far only two shows on that tour list that could be reasonably described as small. That place in Bergen, Norway holds about 20,000. I'd never heard of that venue for the show in Nice. but on clicking their website I see its an ampitheatre and I like the look of it. I can fly there direct so thats one I may go to.
