McCartney upset with Jagger for criticising Linda

London, Nov 26 - Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney was upset when his friend Mick Jagger, lead singer of the Rolling Stones, criticised his late wife Linda's musical talent.
McCartney had taught his wife Linda, a photographer, to sing and play the keyboards and she eventually joined his band Wings. However, fans and critics alike have dissected her contribution to music, contactmusic.com reported.
'(The criticisms were) like oil off a duck's back - but harder to shift. You know, it wasn't easy. But she was tough. The thing is we wanted to be together and we said, 'What right has anyone got to say we shouldn't be together in a band?' And the world seemed to think it was its affair. So we had people like Jagger saying, 'He's got his old lady in the band, oh f*****g hell.' I know Mick, he's sort of a mate, you know. I would think, Oh, f*****g thanks a lot tosser,' McCartney said.

McCartney is turning into such a whining old man, it's becoming a little bit more than obvious who was the real genius in Beatles, in case there was any doubt left.
Then again, if I judge by one of his sworn fans I know.. it's only natural, hehehehe

Actually that was "Hey Jude" during Knebworth 1990, 10 years after WINGS passed on...
As for the original message, why is that news? I don't know when Paul said that, but Mick said it 35 years ago, so WTF cares. Besides, anyone would have been upset by such a comment, Mick must have had better things to do, no, so trivial. |

Linda was clearly the genius in Wings; I mean, c'mon, she got that dork to think she could play the keyboards. Didn't someone once separate her playing from the rest of the band's music/singing & it was barely audible? |

I've had urinary problems too! But I think I'm all better. Otherwise, all is well. Just got back from a lovely T-day holiday & I'm flying to Phoenix in 2 weeks for a few days. No plans for Miami anytime soon but I'll possibly be able to do it next year. |

Me too....for 3 friggin weeks!!s! It hurt every time I moved. I had an allergic reaction to anesthesia, and I though my life was over. |

The Eagles were on 60 Minutes last night in a "hardhitting" Steve Crift piece. It played out like one long infomercial for their crappy new album. I was most disappointed in Croft's failure to ask about Joe Walsh's lobotomy & Don Henly's kiddie porn charges. |
