Topic: Does anybody else here (in the USA) work on Thanksgiving? Return to archive

_Boomy_ I just put in eight hours of supervision where I work. I work on a 6-2 schedule (6 days on, 2 days off) because we have a swing shift.

I'm a salaried employee, however. The only people at the company I work for that are salaried and work on a 6-2 schedule are the production supervisors. We still get the nice holiday pay, but the regular salaried folks get the holiday pay and Thursday & Friday off.

Just curious if anyone is earnin' some dough on this fine day...

Dan I can take the day off if I want to but double time and no work load? I can see the folks and eat turkey any day of the year, and maybe also take a day off if there is actually something I WANT to do.

killerbitch Have a friend who is applying for SSI Disability, and he is finding out it takes
almost forever to get a hearing much less starting the checks. Hope it all
comes together soon.

I know someone who is working on getting another appeal. He has been working on getting it for over 2 years.
