Factory Girl Thanks SS!!! Did you see them at the Black Cat on 11/26?

What do you think of the new Dolls cd?
27th November 2006 09:17 AM
Sir Stonesalot No I was at the TLA on Sat night.

I got my pic taken with the Dolls too, but I can't post that one per the request of one of the other folks in the pic with me. At the show I was at, if you bought the new album at the show, they gave you a voucher to stay after the show and do a meet & greet with the band. I already had the album, but $15.00 to hang out with David Jo & Syl sounded like a deal to me. So we did. I can always give my other disc as a Xmas gift! Sylvain is SHORT! Like even shorter than Gazza even!

I like the new Dolls album. There are a few unfortunate moments on the disc(Michael Stipe! SHUDDER!!), but it is much better than I thought it was gonna be. Some of it flat out kicks ass. You know Iggy is on Gimme Love & Turn On The Light, right? I love the end of the song when you hear Iggy off in the background say..."FUCKIN' right!"...cool. I like the DVD that comes with it too...inneresting.

Factory Girl Thanks so much, SS! I would have liked to catch the Dolls at the Black Cat, but couldn't make it!

Does the dvd come standard with the cd?

"Gazza is short - but mighty" - your words, not mine.

Sir Stonesalot Alas...I think Syl is mightier than you.

But then again, Syl is mightier than almost anyone.
27th November 2006 10:20 AM
Sir Stonesalot FG...Yes the DVD comes with the CD, no special version.

theres a scene on the dvd where David Jo argues with Syl that one of the new songs sounds too Stonesy. (the riff is VERY Beast Of Burdenesque)

I was kinda dissapointed by Johanson's reaction
