Topic: Fingerprint File alternate version Return to archive
November 29th, 2005 02:16 PM
buttergun Can anyone tell me the difference between the "alternate" take of Fingerprint File (as heard on the Acetates boot, Mickboy's It's Only Rock n Roll remaster ((aka Short & Curlies)), and others) and the LP version? I've tried comparing the two, but can't tell much of a difference. Does the alternate feature a different Jagger vocal, or effects, or something? Thanks!

Mathijs The only difference is the speed and thus the key of the song: the original acetate version is about 5 bpm slower and in the original key of A. The IORR version is exactly the same, only a bit faster for a somewhat better groove.
