mac_daddy i am not going to go into the myriad reasons as to why selling these amateur recordings is wrong... let's just assume that it is...

and even if some of you think it is alright for the boot labels to make their money (and NOT all of us feel that way)...

and even if you excuse the individuals selling single silvers off, presumeably to make some dough back, in a one-time cleaning-the-closet episode, which is equivalent to a yard sale (and there really isnt any reason to be hassling with those types)...

this kind of selling on ebay of recordings has GOT to stop. it is completely illegal (not to mention opportunistic, self-serving, and parasitic). if you need more reasons as to why this sh*t is wrong @ ebay, check here..

most importantly, it brings the wrong kind of attention to taping, sharing and trading...

so...

do the responsible thing. REPORT this seller...

to report him/her, click this link, and then copy and paste the auction numbers listed below (you will need to be signed in to ebay). oh - they are grouped in 10s, which is the most you can send each message...

i will continue to post this information when i come across it. the tapers i know are vigilant about this (because it screws things up for all who enjoy the sport). but you guys are all involved now, so please do the right thing and actively help keep our playground clean, so to speak...

GimmeExile excellent work, macdaddy!

I've always wondered how someone could figure out how to set up an Ebay account and buy a bootleg but can't search for fansites and trading forums/bittorrent trackers.

gimmekeef Well I dont want to start a fight and really appreciate how you guys have assisted in getting me and others to torrent. However I've bought some of these sets and have really enjoyed them.Never been ripped off some of the packaging is high quality and I can afford to do it.I realize it brings higher vigilence which isnt good but dont consider it personally to be a capital crime.I think if a court decision was rendered regarding the tracker here and others that torrent it would be like Napster...considered illegal.Just my 2 cents....

this really falls into the grage sale category, unless you are talking about buying copies of sh*t someone downloaded, printed out some covers on the laser printer, and stuck in an envelope - i certainly hope you knew better than to do something like that...

regardless - i dont fault the buyers. but the sellers are scum, and i will continue to report them. i appreciate the help from anyone else who reports them, too...
