sasca You often hear about r'n'r and r'n'b being invented in the US. But that's not very accurate. Almost all early such music came from the former Confederate states. There's a thesis in there somewhere.

Tom Confederate States are and always have been part of the US, I don't get your point here.

sasca I just thought the fact that it was almost confined to those areas was interesting. From a cultural standpoint.

Jumping Jack So as a blues band why aren't the Stones play more in the south? No theater dates at all, no arena dates in Atlanta the biggest southern city? Why is it all NY, Philly and Chicago?
