It was good! I agree they should have shown Ladies and Gentlemen though! Some more obscure clips also would have made it better as well but I think they did a good job. The other day I was watching some videos from the 9VCD set which contains all the Stones promo videos from 1966-2001 and it struck me just how many promotional videos the Stones have done.
Now if only I could get to see Don't Stop!

i didnt like the way it was only a 4 hour "tribute", replayed over 24 hours. But, i managed to get some clips i had missed. Out of tears i always seemed to miss out on. I had never seen crazy mama, so that was cool. Plus, i had never seen anybody seen my baby in its entirety, or the other bridges clips. I am almost complete. But, there was stuff all 60's stuff. Fellow aussies, wait for RAGE to have another special. I got some top shit last time it was on, including a 1/2 doco on the 73 tour that was simply stunning. i also think perhaps Foxtel had some licencing hassles of something. i mean, to leave out jjflash, satisfaction, paint it black, angie, etc was really strange. As far as i know, ladies and gentlemen is not available at all anymore here, and hasnt been for nearly 20 years. It was the 1st video i ever bought back in 1982, and boy, do i need a new copy. Why isnt it, and cocksucker blues, the 1975/76 tours, 1978 tour (is there ANYTHING on video of this, the "forgotten" tour?) and cocksucker blues on dvd yet. I mean, it is the 40th year. |
