Topic: Keith Singing Gimme Shelter In His Set? Return to archive

WattsAtScotts I am listening to some boots of Keith live from 1992, as he does a smokin' verison of Gimme Shelter. I know this would never happen, but if he sang Gimme Shelter during his set, would you be upset that Mick did not sing it? I would enjoy it

mrhipfl It would be weird, but cool. Keith would probably play less guitar, so it might ruin it a little bit. A duet with Lisa would be sweet.

CraigP Anything Keith does onstage, man, is cool with me. (I'd love to see it).

Bruno No, because all he would play would be the intro and the song would be driven by Blondie's acoustic. Awful.

And I donīt think he still has lungs to sing it properly.

the good I like the way that Mick sings it. His voice has more emotive power than Keith's (at least nowadays).

Soldatti I love the version on Eileen's single.
