It's a fake live album and a mess of sound, but an interesting recording from the early days. |

I don't like it much. The completley different British EP of the same name is much better.

I've been loving you Too Long was a studio song with the applause added. The original US CD was about as bad as sound as was possible to put on silicon but the revamped effort is tolerable. |

Got Live if You want it EP is from 1965
and
Got Live if You want it LP is from 1966
As HTM says, the EP blows the shit out of the LP |

The Porkchop Express |
the sound quality is meh
but, when they played live in the 60s, they sound like a fucking kick ass garage rock band
I think I prefer this live stuff to the Taylor era live stuff |

I have two different copies of the Got Life if you want it LP.
One is a mono mix. The introduction of the band differs from the other copie. All the band members are announced.
The other on is a fake stereo mix with a lot of echo on the vocals in one channel together with the screaming of the audience.
I like the mono mix the best. Leave out the two studio tracks and you have a nice 30 minutes of garage-Stones.
I agree the EP is really kicking. Listen esp. to Moving On and Route 66!

Are you referring to the LP or the EP?
The EP is absolutely brilliant and a must if you can track it down! The playing is fantastic and they sound so raw. I actually think it's a really, really great recording Wasn't the EP re-released as part of the singles box set?
