Happy birthday, egon!
BEER CAKE
INGREDIENTS:
1 (18.25 ounce) package yellow cake mix
1 (3.5 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding mix
1 cup beer
1/4 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
DIRECTIONS:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C), grease and flour a 10 inch Bundt pan.
Combine cake mix and pudding mix in a large bowl. Add beer and vegetable oil and mix lightly. Add 4 eggs. Beat at high speed until mixture is thick, creamy and smooth. Pour into greased and floured Bundt pan.
Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 55 minutes. Cool in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Frost as desired.

Ever seen that movie E.T.? remember the scene towards the end when he becomes sick? When he�s all white a wrinkly and when he�s laying there in that riverbed, almost dead. And his finger won�t glow anymore, and the plant won�t grow and all he wants is to go home, presumably to take an aspirin, go to bed and have his mummy rub his tummy? Remember that? Well that�s me today; I�m a sick ExtraTerrestrial!
A year older and I keep learning. Here are 2 new things;
Drinking beer does not make you a great singer, no matter how LOUDLY you try. And all those people that think you are fantastic�they are ALSO pissed. It�s the boring sober people who for once in their miserable lives are right. Listen to them Egon, LISTEN!
Maybe then next time they will not throw you out of the bar.
When you walk home from the pub, there are NO shortcuts. You have to walk the whole distance by yourself (which is always longer than you thought). Ain�t no one gonna help you, ain�t no one gonna care. And the moment you think you�re smart and found a shortcut (hey, I�ve never noticed this street before!), you find yourself in fuck-knows-where and all the people there are scary.
