Funny the Eagles were just mentioned. They are here in Melbourne as i speak. Playing 5 sold out concerts. Top tickets are $450. The STones managed 3 sell outs, with $350 as top price.
Just goes to show you how bland many Aussies are, despite me trying to talk us up. Even Neil Diamond is doing 4 sold-out shows.
Oh, and if you want the next live Eagles dvd (not that anyone in their right mind would, mind you), it's being filmed here in Melbourne too! Hey, i give them points for not filming a U.S./U.K. show like some other fucking band only has the guts to do!
Here's a funny thing. The dvd is being filmed from 3 of the 5 shows. Now, something must have gone awry, because today, 500 ticket holders from a gig 2 nights ago, were invited back to the arena today for some added filming. The show gets absolutely rave reviews for musicianship. Runs way over 3 hours. But, i guess some one stuffed up, so the "lucky" 500 get to pretend they are 15,000!
I'd rather be eaten by a shark.
P.S. Yes, i'm still pissed 4 flicks had a pay per view show, the usual U.K. gig, and a French show. Add up just about most the Stones live shows on video, and thats it. I mean, why wasnt Enmore show on 4 flicks? Fucking hell. I'm still annoyed. An anger that wont go away. So, 69? U.S. 72 - U.S. - 75? U.S. 76 - France, in the abbatoir! 78 - U.S. - 81- U.S. 89 - U.K. 94 - U.S. 97 - U.S. 2002 - U.S. 2003 - U.S.(again, same show as 2002), U.K., France.
So, yay for the Eagles. |
