Sir Stonesalot I see that your list says "that I bought this year"...because some of that stuff was released in 2004.

I have about 15 more discs, and 3 box sets to wade through before I finalize my Best Of 2005 list.

And I disagree about the Franz Ferdinand disc. It's much better than the first album. And I liked the first album. But even though I like the disc well enough...it isn't even close to making my list.

In other words: is it good, but not thaaaat good?!

Anyway, can't wait to see your list. I'm digging for good stuff in the stores but i'm not having luck.

Imho, 2005 was a weak year to music.

Ronnie Richards The White Stripes - Get Behind Me Satan is 2005's essential new release.
But the greatest album released this year is Born to Run 30th Anniversary Edition.

Wolf who???

Well, its being a good year for Brazilian pop/rock music but, who cares?

Most of my mates here do not accept the idea that I'm
still like groups like Kid Abelha or the singer Lulu Santos, both names very directed to young pple.

These mates tell me I have Peter Pan Syndrome...Well, fuck them, until someone defines what the fuck is Adult rock and roll!!!

COULD YOU PLEASE PASS ME THIS YEYO, SON?
Fucking kids...

LOL...I bought only ONE record this year...no prizes for guessing which one!!

But, its been a great year of comeback records by other classic rock survivors...(all of which I did download)

Judas Priest - new studio album featuring Rob Halford after 15 years!
Alice Cooper - great new release...very much got the "Stones 1971-72" sound!
Billy Idol - first new studio release in 12 years and the first featuring Steve Stevens in 19 years!
Green Day - You know all about it!

corgi37 Wolfmother is a exciting young Sydney band. Very old school. Grindy, grungy, garage, pschodelic, punky, bluesy, metal type sound. Very impressive.

I have to be honest apart from the above. Music doesnt interest me anymore. I'd rather make my own. Terrible - sure! But i get a bigger buzz out of it.
