RollingstonesUSA I am a huge Cash fan, was that not the worst tribute u've ever seen! The man is rolling over in his grave, there needs to be a proper tribute, does anybody else agree?

Havent seen it, but wasnt there already one about 18 months ago? I remember that Carlene Carter played at it, it was her first public performance in many years

There was also a good one back in 1999 which Springsteen and Dylan both played at (Bob was in Portugal on tour and they showed a film of him playing 'Train of Love' via satellite. It was absolutely incredible)

Edit : yep, there was a Cash tribute show in Nashville in November 2003

see here for review and pics. Good line up too. Was this on TV?

LadyJane Upon seeing Kid Rock join Jerry Lee Lewis for a duet of "I Walk The Line" I promptly ended the torture with a swift click of the remote.

Gazza Oh No, Not HIM Again

Is there some obligation to wheel this guy out at every tribute show? He's become the male equivalent to Sheryl Crow for these type of all-star bunfights (at least Sheryl has talent, though)

LadyJane Gazza...Sheryl opened the SHOW singing "Ring of Fire".

Sheryl...and Kid....the requiste Tribute show performers.

Factory Girl Actually, Brad Paisley opened the show. He was terrible.

Sheryl Crow was terrible.

Kid Rock was terrrible. Jerry Lee should have kicked his ass.

Martina McBride was pretty good. She did a June Cater Cash song.

U2 were passable.

I had to turn it off for Monthgomery & Gentry...yikes.

How was Kris Kristofferson?
