Don't know about that.
A super season is one thing.
Longevity and consistency has its place in QB lore, and there is a lot of competition before anyone says greatest ever.
Montana, Elway, Favre,...
But Brady had more than his fair share of great seasons early in his career, has some jewelry that Marino never got and Elway only got late in his career.
He is now showing that little something extra that puts him above his contemporaries.
No question he could be, but not yet

I'm off to work soon. I'm recording both Eagles tonight and the big game today.
Just an fyi, now spoilers in any new thread subjects. Keep it here, I know we have another football thread anyway. DYK, you can watch a game in about one hour if you record and FFWD through the fluff, stoppages and commercials. and if it is a blowout, you just delete. |

Since they don't coincide, you might get it. BUT!!! check your local papaer or on TV guide. We were supposed to have the early CBS game, and it was scheduled and got infomercials instead. The SF 9'rs are on the road, so there is usaully two games between CBS and Fox. i have no idea what the Raiders are doing, must be blacked out, usually we get a shitty game instead, maybe that is why we got only one CBS game. if this doesn't make sense, sorry. The NFL needs to make more games available for free, and drop this blackout bullshit. They make a shitload of money, so this pay perview and local blackout stuff is bullshit. |

Thats absurd. He's not even the best in the league.

Show me Marino's jewelry.
Right, as I thought, none.
No jewelry, no legend.

I agree--God knows I hate the Patsies, but Marino ain't even in the same fuckin' ballpark as Brady |

I dont buy into that. Jim McMahon, Doug Williams, Mark Rypien, Rich Gannon, and Chirst's sakes Trent Dilfer all have rings. Hardly legends.

and QB's with hardly Brady's stats or winning record and certainly NONE of them with THREE rings...thus not a very good comparison |

i agree too. McNabb, if fate had been different could have a few rings, and he's not at Marinos caliber, and Brady, despite my dislike, is fucking amazing. I would say, Manning is pretty incredible. His personality, that I've seen on SNL and in interviews really impressed me. So I'm rooting for The Colts today. |

Hey Robo, I'm not selling you a thing.
Go look @ any of those qb's vs. Brady, as well as the mythical Marino. Their stats all pale, Casper like, in comparison.
This is not myth, it is fact. |

The point I'm trying to make is that Marino played for a piss poor Dolphins franchise. He was the whole team. If had the talent on both sides of the ball like Brady does, who knows what could have happened. |

Yeah, I know. I grew up watching Bradshaw win four, and hell I would not put him in my list of the greatest. |

Is Brady the best in the league right now? Probably. The best of all time is a bit of a reach right now. Time will tell. |

I could not agree more. On a side note, he's the only quarterback that I have seen play in high school, college, and pros in person. |
