jb He has played more dates than the Stones...however, this is really hard to stomach....I think it is b/c the Stones have refused to report ticket sales/grosses to Billboard....It makes no sense,...the Stones tickets are higher and they will play to roughly the same amount of people...

Mickjagger1963 Plus, with the Stones' expensive plane and other transportastion and hotel room and food stuff the tour dont even break even for about 3 months, Sept. Oct. Nov. So that means they only have one full month in the year of 2002 to profit.

Gazza yeah, I'd say thats probably accurate OK

McCartneys been on tour since the summer and his tickets have been, at the high level, of a similar price to the Stones. In 2002 the Stones will only have played around 30-35 shows in North America, around half a dozen of which will have been club shows with a ticket price of under $60. This tour wont actually break even until this month, according to that "60 Minutes" special

I wouldnt get upset about it to be honest. Having the highest gross for a tour in a calendar year is often simply a barometer of greed anyway, and not necessarily how many tickets you've sold or how great a show you put on.
11-04-02 04:04 PM
jb They don't take into account those factors..it's just ticket sales and gross profit(not counting expenses)..

Fiji Joe Yeah, and with McCartney, you don't get no free celluar phone ring tone CD...cheap ass

Yeah, he really fucked that up, didn't he?

If he doesn't like the contract he signed, then at least tell everyone. Don't capitalize on some terrible thing to get out of it.

He's gonna lose a lot of fans Down Under.
