These are some stats showing how the number of Rocks Off regulars have been growing since August 2001 (our oldest archive) you all can verify these data just going to the archives here http://www.novogate.com/boards/archive.php?boardid=968, we had only 104 registered users back then, now we have 2,656. Also the non-registered lurkers/registered users is in the range from 15 to 21
This image shows the accumulated registered users
And this one shows the new registered users per month
It’s very easy to see that the tour was the key for growing, then apparently also the appearance as one of the best 10 websites at the British Magazine MOJO helped too and some mentions in Radio Stations, all in 2002.

Great stats Gerardo!
I used to be a member way back in 2001 with another username ("Fedepeti" or something like that), the board was little soft on that times. I changed my username on 2002 after see that this board was growing very strong on that days (July/August 2002), the days of the tour were amazing, great news, the expectation for the setlists, the pics of the shows...glory days really.
This is the best Stones board all over the web, IORR is great too but this site is special. Thanks for all the effort. |

2,600 plus users! And a 20% RISE in registered users since the tour ended just over a year ago, even though theres hardly been any Stones news in that time.
Hah! Hardly a case of a board thats "dying" according to certain individuals who should know better.
Its also not bad considering we're basically an independent site who choose not to belong to any webrings or stuff like that, plus the fact that we have a higher percentage of users from countries where English isnt their first language and who would therefore be more likely to lurk than post sometimes.
Gerardo - do those figures include the "Espanol" site as well?
Just wait till the next tour. Last tour we only really made a concentrated effort to get the setlists and photos of the shows online within minutes of the shows from around the time of the European leg (in some cases we even had the setlists up hours before the Stones took the stage thanks to some insider info and eagle eyes..lol - "Rocks Off - the Stones site that brings you the news BEFORE it happens  ).
Presuming the tour starts in North America again, hopefully our members there can provide the same lightning fast info for that leg as we had for Europe 2003.

NO, if you see that table (that can be verified one-by-one just going to the archives) it is only the Message Board at Novogate; the message board in Spanish (Banquete de Pordioseros) has only 149 registered users.
Yes the way you all made it for the tour, the setlists those great pictures from the regulars from the USA, Europe, Down-under and even Japan were key, those news, etc etc
So thank you everybody this board is what it is because of you all nice people, the greatest fans in the world!
and yes, I made those stats (that again can be verified one-by-one at the archives) just to show someone over there -----> how we grew, not because those early ads Jaxx posted overthere when we moved from Goin' Home to Rocks Off back in March 1999. We grew because of the perseverance and quality of all of us, specially the regulars.
Another fact, as a message board we are the oldest active board; Gerry Seda's is older but is for Brian Jones
Undercover and SFJ are older but they are e-mail lists |

That is just great Voodoo! Frankly, this site is the dogs balls of Rolling Stones sites and now you have the stats to prove it. If I had to pay to use it I would.
I believe when SS and I defected we helped out tremendously. The message board was kind slow until our genius began to show itself. I think the world as whole can be thankfull for that.
