Some random flimsy thoughts:
Anyone get the feeling LIND was inspired by Goerge Harrisons "Any Road." George's "I've been traveling.....any road will take you there"
Stones "I've been Traveling, but I don't know where"
Anyone think Keith came up with some of the stuff on LIND like "I'm So sick and tired.... Laugh I Nearly Died."?

No? "Been to India, but it froze my bones."
Mick and Keith both wrote tribute essays when he died. I think they were in Rolling Stone. |

Well what makes a fit guy like Jagger come up with a line like "Laugh I nearly died"? Of course I was thinking also of Keith's line "I'm so sick and tired of hanging around jerks like you."
Anyway, I listened to a bit of wandering spirit on amazon. It didn't seem too similar to Bigger Bang. I don't really have a great sense of Mick solo since Primitive Cool. Is there place online all of WS can be downloaded? It sounded decent at times. Some interesting covers, wired sounded pretty decent

Laugh I Nearly Died is my favorite song on ABB. MICK sounds so beautiful so full of emotion I almost cried.
"I hate to be denied" who does? |

The line
"I feel like an actor, lookin for a role" is quite stupid!
What the fuck is the feeling of an actor looking for a role, dammit?
That line headed me to think that depends which actor we talking about it.
Al Pacino, Jack Nicholson, Brando, John Cusak????

Actors pretend, right? So he may be saying that he feels like an actor, i.e. pretending to be something he isn't, and he's looking for a role - just a new way to fool himself or someone else.
Maybe Or I'm reading too much in it. |

Definetely, you're reading too much in it, FotiniD.
It's not philosophy. Mick wasted a great chance to do a better rhyme & also to say something beautiful, as the rest of those lyrics.
Imo, bad choice of words.
Unnnnnnless, of course, Doodoo-Puggie says again I have been ridiculous. In this particular case, I will accept his always solid, respected & exempt opinion!
But then, I wanna know:
01 - What kind of role we're talking about it?
02 - What kind of movie? I DONT DO X-RATED, YOU KNOW IT!
03 - Whos the producer?
04 - Whos the director?
05 - Oh yeah, how much you're gonna pay me???
06 - Whos in the main role? Not me??!! -----> NO THANKS!!!
07 - Where the movie take place?
08 - Where the movie will be shooted?
09 - For sure, no tropical diseases down there?
10 - Do I have to take shots in my butt?! ----->NO THANKS!!!
11 - May my puppy got his own conditioned air?
12 - Will you provide my "substances"?
13 - Will you provide the French dogfood to my puppy?
14 - May I have three girls at night in my trailler?
15 - May I walk around, whenever I want...naked?
16 - If I miss MUM, are you ready to brought her to me asap?
17 - May my nephews come to visit me any time?
18 - Are you ready to throw out the jerk fans?
19 - Are you all keep quiet at nite to not disturb by rest?
20 - Can we shoot just 1 (one) take/day?
21 - Will I got an exclusive cable to watch Fox Kids?
22 - May I take along all my plush puppies collection?
23 - My I have 342 white extra large towels in my trailler?
24 - Can you guarantee Madonna will come to visit me at least once/week? Guy Ritchie will come too??!!
25 - Can I got a lady to read the I-Ching to me?
26 - May my facilities stay at least 387 feet of the rest of you?
27 - Can you guarantee the safety of my plush popies?
28 - Which is the value of my personal insurance?
29 - May the air space keep blocked during the shootings?
30 - May I do my walks just in that purple limo?
31 - May I also chose some angles to shoot?
32 - My lawyer (Which is "THE JB", in this case) can read my contract before the producers?
33 - Can you wake me up every morning by throwing white rose petals in my face? AND, If I dont like, can I be piss?
34 - May C. Zeta-J. read the Bible to me every night?
35 - What the movie is all about it?
36 - May someone jerking me off when I want?
37 - Can I change at any time any of these items if I dislike some?
38 - Can I have a particular Rolling Stones concert?
39 - Can we finish the movie in 2012, please????
40 - Can I walkaway if I get bored?

the verses are a series of trite, generic metaphors strung together -
nothing original or specific.

Still, bad choice of words, Texile.
Like
"My heart is deep in the country
But I live for the city",
which, btw, Mick repeat in ABB. |

he uses those lines and that imagery on primitive cool...
'my heart is deep in the country,
but ...blah, blah, blah '
which might have worked ONCE but....TWICE.
does jagger think we don't pay attention to the words?
