Hi!
Well, I'd like to say that song "Potted Shrimp" is a real masterpiece and if you fellow colleagues have not listend to this yet, I tell you that you don't know what you are missing. Anyway, I don't know nothing regarding this instrumental song. So:
1- When did they record it?
2- Who was involved in?
3- The first time that song "came out" (what studio bootleg)?
Please fellow "Walking Encyclopaedias of Rock'n'Roll", would you help me to solve that question?
Muito obrigado!

1 ) 17-31 October 1970 at the last sessions for "Sticky Fingers" at Stargroves (Mick's house) and Olympic Studios (early bootlegs dated it as Elektra Studios, Hollywood November 1972, but this is incorrect)
2) The Stones , with Nicky Hopkins on piano
3) Its hard to date bootleg releases but this track has been in circulation for at least 25 years. Probably first on vinyl LP's such as "The Trident Mixes" or "Trident Demos" etc. |
