scope 'You've lost that LIVING feeling, wo oh wow oh'

Seriously, a sad time when anyone passes, and I'll admit right now to singing that tune at many a sing-a-long at piano bars throughout the city.

KALAMAZOO, Mich. (Reuters) - Bobby Hatfield, half the team known as the Righteous Brothers of "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin"' fame, died Wednesday, police said.

Hatfield's body was taken to the Kalamazoo County Medical Examiner's Office for an autopsy and a statement was to be issued later, police reported.

Hatfield and partner Bill Medley met in Orange County, California and performed together for 41 years.

According to the group's Web site, "You've Lost That Lovin' Feelin,"' recorded in 1964, stands as the most played song on radio.

Hatfield and Medley were performing in a local bar as part of a five-piece group called the Paramours, when a black Marine shouted "That's righteous, brothers," leading to the name, the web site relates.

Medley and Hatfield were inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame this year.
