gimmekeef Hey Moonie...so far so good....It will be interesting to see if the Stillers can get up for the Whiz...That Pats game is a long way off but if played now the line would be Pats -9.5.......And I'm not sure I would take the points.Pitt has seen 3 straight bad to mediocre QB's and I'm still not sold our secondary can shutdown the Bradys'/Palmers/Peytons of the world yet.Hines' leg better be okay too....
24th September 2007 10:48 AM
Nellcote Moonie, Pittsburgh game is much too far ahead.
We are focusing on The Bengals.
They are a balanced team, coached well.
They are tough in all three phases of the game.
We do get an extra day off to rest, which we will need.
We are still without two cogs in our D, and one in our offense, we are not yet running on all cylinders.
There is much work to be done.
24th September 2007 12:43 PM
Some Guy this is the season of our discontent.
24th September 2007 02:17 PM
Lord (Hetero) Urgh, dunno if the bengals are that balanced or well coached. Marv Lewis is supposedly facing some tough cricism at home. Special teams are a mess too. I should be glad (am Pats all the way!)but I like Carson and the boys.

Yo Robo, I hope that was as fun as the box score looked. Fucked them up.

But I'm worried about the defense, as we gave up over 50% more points than in the last two games combined.

LOL. Ok here goes. First when did it become legal for a tight end to catch a pass? has this always been cool, or is it a new rule change? If so great rule change. Max Starks checking in as a tight end.....This is so developing.

Ben is making stupid mistakes once again, but unlike last year he is showing the ability to bounce back from his mistakes.

One last note. I have been following the Steelers for years and how they manage the salary cap. A year and a half ago I predicted that Joey Porter will be let go, and well, I was not very popular in the Nation after that. This year's bombsell prediction is even bigger than Joey Porter being let go. I'm sorry but a high priced receiver/blocker like Hines Ward does not fit into the big picture of this offense. I really do believe unless Hines takes a pay cut he will be released during the off season or the following off season. Hines is the fucking man but business is business. Remember where you heard it first. I hope I am wrong.

This Sunday watch the Steelers play a "home game" 2000 miles away from Pittsburgh. The game in Arizona will be a Steeler home game. No other team in professional sports fans travel like the Steelers.

December 9th is shaping up to be special.

You talking about the Cincinnati Bengals? Pats get their 38 points by halftime next week.

December 9th, Nellie. Can't see the Pats beating the Steeler defense without video cameras. Plus, we have three white TEs, a black coach, and the Nation.

Charlie Weis is showing his offensive brillance now without the use of those cameras....And then there is Romeo, fuck we'll just blame that on the Browns.

Sorry WInslowstud.

and their throwbacks.

swapwoodfortaylor Shrewsbury Town. Them's The Team. We drink beer and yut lamb. 30 mile away in Rectum, (Wrexham), they drink beer, shag sheep....and lose football games!!!

texile those are some ugly-ass uniforms robpop...
hideous - they look like costumes for a swedish band from the 70s.
i was at the texan-indy game on sunday...
great energy.
rooting for an underdog is always heartbreaking, (first the oilers and now the texans) but i wouldn't have it any other way.
i'll never know what it's like to root for goliath in football.

Ha!!! no need to explain I'm a Pirates fan.

The Oilers had some very good teams in the late 1970's. Some great games. As I stated here before nobody dented the Steel Curtain like Earl Campbell. He may be the best back I had ever seen. Really tragic how he is now.

The Texans may have handed us our worst loss ever. What did they have like 30 yards total offensive and won? They seem to be going in the right direction though.

there is rooom for hope...
and earl campbell was like a train - i used to love watching him plough through players like they were practice dummies. now, he seels barbeque sauce and sausage.
it's amazing that he isn't more iconic.

but those new eagles uniforms are something else robpop...
and the steel curtain doesn't look quite as menacing with those lemon-yellow jerseys.....
it's all about looks.

it's a shame about earl -
he was the oiler's first real star and only real offensive weapon and they treated him like a damn racehorse..pushing him into early retirement.
yeah, he's rich but withouth the iconic status that he could have reached if he had been treated better and had had a longer career.
very sad.
25th September 2007 09:37 AM
gimmekeef Too many Bummerooskis for poor old Earl.....He hit like a Mack truck though in his prime. If I needed one yard to win a championship on 4th down he'd be my pick.....

Saint Sway another new marijuana bust for Vick...

I dont understand??
How could anyone that blazed on chiba be so sick and violent?

you'd think he'd be all spralled out on the couch listening to some Marley and wondering where the hell he left the phone so he can order some taco's instead of running around beating dogs.

robpop Do yins thinks that Russ Grimm and Ken Whisenhunt are going to show us this week after being denied the jobe? They don't have the tallent to run with us yet.

Sadly, I had to cancel my trip. Those fuckers who I work for want me to do my job. Bastards.

I hope Mike Tomlin does not get stabbed in the back of the head while in Arizona.

This game scares me. Remember, cops look the other way regarding high price escorts in Phoenix. We need high level poise and moxie to pull this one off out there in the fucking godforsaken Arizona desert.

We can't get behind early. We just can't. This game matters. Its Nation Time, Benji.

It will be a good test to see how good Steelers really are...specially if Hines sits.Everyone talks about Grimm/Whis...really though Ben has an axe grindin here too.If he plays well they win....

I have no time for this Tiny Tim nonsense. Two years ago today the Stones played Pittsburgh for the last time ever. What a fucking great night. Time to crank some boots and get piss drunk. I'll be in the gutter if you need me.

robpop Big news out of the Bengals camp. Fans getting "pooped" on.

Officials at Cincinnati Bengals' Stadium Want Authority to Shoot Pigeons Defecating on Fans
Friday , September 28, 2007

CINCINNATI —

Paul Brown Stadium officials want permission to shoot down pigeons that are pooping on Bengals fans' heads — and in their food and beer — during games.

Eric Brown, managing director of the stadium, sent a letter asking the city to allow stadium employees to kill the birds with an air-powered pellet rifle.

Brown says no shooting would take place on game days.

Bengals officials say fan noise used to drive pigeons away during games but apparently the birds have adapted. Pigeon poop is becoming a big problem throughout the NFL, but no one has come up with a foolproof solution yet.

Team officials say they're looking into other ideas to get rid of the birds, including the use of strobe lights, noise makers, fake owls and netting.
