chevysales yesterday on 790theticket on the after game show for fins they had micheal barrow? or was it boulware? anyhow he was stating how dees (under cokers asking) let the acc cut down the amount of sideline passes given to canes alum... he went on to state how nfl alum always took players under their wings and would tell players coming off the filed what they saw... coker himself saw that as not something he wanted and put a stop to it...

also making the area they hang in off to the side... well lasmar thomas calls in to back this up and says irvin and others have been pushed aside from their role put in place under JJ and continued under butch.

and while it's the coaches job to address adjustments that even randy shannon saw the value in haveing alum who played the position at a high level their and in the nfl were so valuable to in game help to the players.

very few teams have they ability to do these things and thats what always made THE U different and over the past few years that was taken from the program...

and shalala and dees on the sidelines saturday nite shown talking during the game tells the inevitable... too bad it's going to happen at end of season and not now...

jb Michael Barrow....Shalala has curtailed the program and limited the # of kids with academic troublre that we could sign. However, the real problem was that after the blow-out to LSU last year, Cooker fired the whole staff, and lost all crediblity with his players. They are, essentially, playing for a lame duck coach, and the effort is not there. Also, now that some of the big program from the 70's, like USC are back on top, we are not getting the best recruits like we use to. Many other schools like USC, Louisville, Ohio State, Texas, West Virginia, etc., are getting the top recruits. We had a great run, and I am not upset so much about losing, as I am about the way we are losing. A lack of dicipline, a lack of talent in some key positions, an inability to get Kyle Wright to feel comfortable in the system, etc. Look, Coker is 58-12, and a bad call away from back to back national championships, but as in life, it's always what have you done for me lately.
