I saw Jason Isbell at the Bowery last week. He was cool, I liked his tunes, me and my buds were screaming for John Henry the whole time, to no luck. Wished I could have seen the Truckers with him.

You are under consideration...while you may have to serve a while under Ronnie Wood status, it is possible you can eventually earn full band rights...have you written any songs?...we are songwriters first and foremost...our songs generally center around sinners, saints, cornbread and leopards...any ideas?

17th October 2007 04:02 PM
Saint Sway I once penned a tune about a guy who went to prison for attempting to kill the members of Def Leppard by poisoning the cornbread in the backstage buffet at a show in Talahassee.

it was called "Def, Dead & Gone"

the chorus went:
"You may of crawled back out of that ditch with one arm/but when you finish that corn bread you'll be dead and gone/I'll pour some sugar on yer buried bones/oh yeah yeah yeah you'll be dead and gone"

Does that count?

Drinking starts at 6...and ends promptly at midnight...I have to work tomorrow and I'm supposed to be doing something relatively important...Black Rebel Motorcycle Club was there last night when I went to get my ticket...hanging out front...I saw them open for the Stones...was not impressed

Pug has absolutely no involvement in this band...point of fact, that rule # 1 of our band charter...This is lotus couch stuff...Hmmmm...you really don't have our last single?

You weren't supposed to see that...Hey, can't blame a man for looking for a bandmate who drinks better beer than Bud Light

Fiji Joe OK..the show was absolutely fantastic...It amazes me that there are chuckleheads on this board hee hawing about Van Halen when there is real rock n' roll to be found on this planet...a sorry state of world affairs

I'm not much for reviews...but what I thought about the show I wrote here...Did I mention I bought Cooley some wings?

Saint Sway Truckers invade NYC this weekend. Playing 2 different venues...

I'm on the guest list for saturday. Anyone here going to either night?

again, if you're going, I recommend getting in early to check out Ryan Bingham and his band

(actually I think he'd be a great replacement for Isabell... )

Went to Friday's BB show thanks to my DBT-fanatic friends having an extra ticket - good call on Bingham.
