I'm noticing lately that some artists are attaching bonus DVD's and other stuff with their album releases. I think that it's a pretty cool thing to do because more albums will probably sell.
I read in Rolling Stone that labels are going to start doing this a lot because of low record sales.
Going back to the topic, I've seen that Bowie, Foo Fighters, U2, Dave Matthews, and Eric Clapton have bonus material/stuff and/or a DVD that coincides with an album release.
Do you think the Stones should have put some sort of a bonus DVD with Forty Licks, or do you think that it's fine the way it is? I think it's fine, but extra stuff would have been really cool. Perhaps they will release a concert DVD and live album at the same time and maybe put out a DVD of all of their videos with the new album.
What are you guys hoping for? It kind of sucks to go to the stores and only see "Bridges To Babylon" and "Gimme Shelter" DVD's in the movie sections.
This tour rules!
