PartyDoll MEG Phone call from LJ. The Beacon contingent has left, so a quiet day planned. SV's husband, Peter, took care of the girls last night getting them food and helping the staggering LJ to her hotel. Yes she was totally blitzed by midnight.

Today she refuses to be a walking billboard for Michael Cohl and Mick Jagger. She has traded in her "Stones wear" and tongues for Chicago advertisements.

Steel Wheels Many thanks to Mick Jagger for fucking over my 30th Birthday show.

Thanks, Mick. Have fun at the Beacon...

Was there really any reason to hold it last night?

It really angers me when someone drops his/her drink also.

pdog I'm back in California... Aside from the obvious cancelation, I had a really great time. I'm not able to go back to AC...
I'm keeping thing positive... I met a few folks who experinced multiple cancelations and there was alot of people who had come to AC from Europe!

Guys, i have been in a state that I really can't compare anything to this week, not getting into the Beacon has made me feel the worst, seriously. To find out AC has been cancelled is so shocking to me. To all the people I met during the UK gigs, especially MR Jimmy, I feel for you all. Terrible news. Love you all, Ben.

I feel for everyone too.

Just to keep things clear... I'll have to assume that you're referring to a Mr Jimmy from another message board. I'm Mr Jimmy here at Rocks Off (no other board) but I wasn't at any gigs in the UK though I would have loved to have been there. I hope that the other Mr Jimmy had a great time!!!

With the recent addition of a Dr Jimmy here at Rocks Off, I'm giving serious thought to changing my name.

robpop It appears that this show was cancelled long before it was announced. Which makes me come to the conclusion that the announcement was held back by the casinos. The casinos run that town. They wanted all the out of towners in town with no show to go to.
28th October 2006 04:33 PM
rollmops That was a first for me, a cancelled show. It's pretty ugly!! One feels like shit. All of the building up of the excitment comes crashing down in a second. It is too much of a horrible feeling. I know that other terrible things could have happened but nevertheless it is a fact that for a fan it is awful! It frigging hurts! I am not going to be able to see them this year which means that I may never to see them again! That is devasting thought for me! I hope it is not true.
Rock and roll,
Mops

Sir Stonesalot I personally think this would be a GREAT opportunity for Stones fans to hit 'em where it counts...in the wallet.

Cash in those tickets for a refund boys and girls. And don't go back. Draw the line in the sand and stick to it.

Stones Inc. has a complete and total lack of respect for you. Now is the time to tell them that Stones fans can't be shit on time and time again. We need to let them know that there are repercussions for their actions. And obviously, the only repercussions that mean anything to them...are financial.

Let's see what happens if the big show AC promoter takes a fuckin'. That would jeopardize another promoter taking a high $$$ risk at booking an extended engagement after they "retire" from touring...at least it would in AC. And the casinos might not look at The Stones as a sure thing either. Let's see what happens if future bookings are put in jeopardy.

Let's see what happens if the Stones show up to play a gig to an empty small venue. Maybe that slap in the face will wake them the fuck up. Kick 'em right in their overinflated egos.

So do it baby. Turn those tix in for a refund. Use that money to buy someone in your life a special holiday gift or something like that. Take your parent's out to dinner. Buy yourself a new guitar. Do whatever you want...just don't give that money to Stones Inc. Send them the message that we won't be shit on, and treated like mindless cattle anymore.

Stand up for your dignity. Stones Inc., they don't give a fuck about you. Give 'em the finger and cash in those tix.

PartyDoll MEG Phone update....making the best of a bad situation

Nanky, TomL, and LJ walked the boardwalk in their "Cheap sunglasses" ($1.06), hit all the bars and casinos, ate in an Irish Pub, and have settled in big lounge chairs in the Blue Martini. They maintain they will be back on Nov 17th to do this again.
29th October 2006 08:20 AM
Bitch Here's to the Rocks Off ladies! It was fun meeting you and I hope we meet again on Nov. 17th! The Rocks Off guys are great! That's why the trip was not a waste for me, because I got to see your faces. Now I know how goofy you people look!!!!LOL!!!

Martha It's good to see everyone making the best of this crap-ass situation. Thanks for posting the shots Meg. :-)
29th October 2006 11:04 AM
glencar Well, what can ye do? I feel terrible for those from SF & Europe but going to AC every 3 weeks isn't that bad in my case. I made some dough, met some friends & saw Taj Mahal. And we all know there's NO WAY they'll cancel again.
29th October 2006 05:51 PM
Sir Stonesalot Why does it even matter if they do a make up on 11/17?

Why are you people gonna pay Stones Inc. to LIE to you, and piss in your face.

Fuck them man. Get your refund and let 'em play to an empty venue.

You are going to The Beacon...THAT is the proper way for it to end. I think you know it too Glenny. Do the right thing man, get your refund and spend it on people who care about you...we all now know that Stones Inc. doesn't.

Sir Stonesalot Tom, are you serious man?

Dude, don't. Go see Bob. Stones Inc doesn't deserve your money, you've given enough. No one could possibly doubt your devotion to the band. But don't you think it's time to say enough is enough?

I mean, you do what you think is best for you...but please consider getting a refund. If Stones fans stick together on this, maybe we can get Stones Inc to treat us with a little more respect.

Joey, not only was your name mentioned numerous times, but I saw Paris wandering around The Borgata asking the burning question:

She digs you, man.

39 and proud of it... People think I look 29, and that makes me feel good. When LJ was behind me, hugging me for this pic, I felt so loved and so happy... Stones can't take that from me...

You people are fucking beautiful. Don't let anyone tell ya different.

Sir Stonesalot, you hit the nail on the head. The Fans must refund the tickets for the AC show. If anyone even thinks of attending the 11/17 show, the Stones Corporation will still think they can suck their fans' wallets dry of paper money and any other substance that can be used as money. Refund the tickets and put some pressure on the Corporation. The Stones can't shit on their fans like this, and that message needs to be said.

And I aged 10 years after the text message received at 2:20 to say the show was cancelled.

I think we look GREAT!!!!!!

It's ain't no beauty contest...at least not to me.

LJ.
30th October 2006 07:33 PM
Trey Krimsin If it was a beauty contest, there would have to be a tie. Well, unless I was there, then I would win. HA!

Yes, that last comment was a large pile of complete bullshit. And I am full of it.
