No real Stones fan will ever except this type of music..it ain't blues, it ain't rock, it's simply 80's techno re-mixed with no soul...they fucking suck and are evil people as well.

" Welcome to Howe Military School! "

" Since 1884 our students have prepared successfully for their college entrance and subsequent careers. Howe employs a whole person approach to education. In practical terms that means we regard our curriculum as consisting of every experience a child has from the time she/he wakes up in the morning until bedtime. That allows us to immerse students in a program with academic, spiritual, and ' physical components ' .

At Howe Military School you will quickly find a rigorous academic program. Life at Howe is structured but also caring, comprehensive, and involving. We like to say our program takes a young adult from promise to performance. By that we mean Howe sees the promise in each young man and woman, provides the structure they need, and works with both parents and students to facilitate success.

Our military program provides a framework allowing the development of character and leadership, such as: socialization, teamwork, self-discipline, and leadership. We do not actively recruit nor train cadets to become soldiers, sailors, or marines. Howe Military School seeks genuine development of our cadet's self-esteem by recognizing the genuine achievement of our cadets through the awarding of medals and awards and regular worship. These traits become the foundation for their success at Howe, in college, and beyond.

After your visit through this web site, we invite you to further explore the possibilities that Howe Military School could make in your life as a student or in the life of your young adult. Please call toll free 888-462-4693 (888-GO2-Howe), or email our admissions department at [email protected] for more information. You are encouraged to call and schedule a personal campus visit! We will be delighted to speak with you regarding the opportunities available at Howe Military School. Our Admissions Department is always on the road and may be headed to your neighborhood. By clicking here you can view our schedule of preview dates. Enjoy your visit at our web site. And, since we are always updating our site, we encourage you to return often. Please take a few minutes and complete our on-line survey. "

nankerphelge Hey Joey, I thought of you when I saw this.

I picture you slapping these puppies on the back of Carly like a "Kick Me" sign from elementary school!

PHILADELPHIA Menopausal women had more sex and were happier about it when using an experimental hormone patch hailed by some as a possible female equivalent of Viagra (search), doctors reported Tuesday.

Women on the testosterone patch (search) had sex about four times more than they usually did in two months compared to only one additional session for women given a fake patch containing no hormone, a study found.

Those who got real patches also reported more arousal, pleasure and orgasms, and had better self-images.

"We found an increase in activity, an increase in desire and a decrease in distress," said Dr. Robin Kroll, a Seattle gynecologist who reported results of the study Tuesday at a meeting of infertility specialists. The research was sponsored by Procter & Gamble Pharmaceuticals, which is developing the patch, called Intrinsa (search), with Watson Pharmaceuticals Inc.

It was the first big test of the patch in women who went through menopause naturally and complained of low sex drive. A previous study in women who became menopausal because of surgery found similar results, and the companies already have asked the federal Food and Drug Administration to approve its use for those women.

gypsy U2 sucks. I think we should drop the topic. If you wanna listen to U2, go join the U2 board--I'm sure they have one--and that there are quite a few Howe alum there.

By the way, when I visited the Howe site, I couldn't quit laughing at the photos taken of the Howe cadets practicing rifle shooting at a firing range. One of the photos is a taken of just the cadets' asses as they're shooting.
I know there aren't many angles one can take photos from at a firing range...but, damn, put on the telephoto lens, and take a lateral shot. It's not as though you have to zoom in on teenage boys' asses! Well...we are talking about Howe here, so...

Some Guy NEW @U2 THE POD SQUAD?

ThinkSecret.com, a leading source of Apple-related news and rumors, is reporting that the relationship between Apple and U2 may include a U2-themed iPod. "The U2-edition iPod will feature a distinctive enclosure and will come pre-loaded with all the band's major album releases," TS suggests, and says it may cost about $30 more than a standard iPod. Think Secret's sources say the rumored iPod may be released around the same time that U2 releases How To Dismantle and Atomic Bomb.

Update: An @U2 reader tells us he received an email last month from a music store which dropped a hint that the U2-themed iPod would contain U2's entire catalog, not just the albums. The plot thickens!

Update #2: MacCentral.com reports that Bono and The Edge will appear with Apple CEO Steve Jobs at an Apple event next week in California. "Steve Jobs, Bono and The Edge invite you to attend a special event," reads the top of invitations to the event, which is scheduled for 10AM Pacific Time on October 26, 2004.

NEW @U2 MARKETING BLITZ ON THE WAY
October 18, 2004
posted by: m2

The Apple / U2 commercial really is just the beginning. And not just the beginning of U2 and Apple marketing together, but the beginning of what is looking like the most far-reaching album marketing blitz U2 has ever been involved with. Here are some details from a reliable source about what's coming soon:

* live performance on Saturday Night Live, November 20th
* four new songs to be featured on the CBS TV show "CSI"; one song per show on Oct. 21, Nov. 11, Nov. 18, and Nov. 25
* Spin magazine cover story, December
* Guitar World cover story (date TBA)
* additional features in TIME magazine, Vanity Fair, and USA Today

So if you're trying to avoid hearing the new songs until the album is in stores, or reading about the new songs ... good luck!

corgi37 If that ipod thing is true, i am even more sadderer. Very clever marketing by both sides.

Fucking U2.

Hey, here's an idea. Is Jagger going to pop up on stage with Bono and sing one of their dirges with him? Bono (a fat Bono, btw) sang IORR on the Licks tour!

Man, i still think of the Simpsons episode with U2.

3 lines crack me up.

"Potato man!"
"Wankers"
"Oh, here we go".

And, to further lift me out of my doldrums, the Simpsons episode about Rolling Stones rnr camp was better than the U2 episode.

So there, you fuckers!

Of the 4 current members of the Stones, the only one who has not recorded with Bono and/or U2 is Charlie Watts, so I guess you'll be boycotting the next tour unless its going to consist of two hours of drum solos....

Some Guy U2's New Chain of Release

Melbourne Herald Sun, October 21, 2004

Nui Te Koha

U2's latest album has arrived in Melbourne handcuffed to a record executive.

A single copy of the album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, one of three in existence, is on a global tour for preview sessions.

Chris Dwyer, of the band's record company Island, arrived yesterday with the disc in a briefcase handcuffed to her arm.

With the album expected to sell three million copies in its first week, the single disc has a potential value of $60 million.

Strictly monitored playback or listening sessions for music media, radio and retailers are the industry's latest move to fight piracy.

The trend to protect superstar artists saw Justin Timberlake and Nelly albums flown in from the US under tight security.

Rapper Eminem's new record will get the same treatment.

"Unfortunately, these days, the threat of physical piracy and online piracy is too great," Ms Dwyer said. "The music business really needs to protect the property of its artists.

"This means we have to keep our releases to ourselves right up to the point it is available in shops."

U2's new album will be released on November 22.

Frontman Bono says it has the spark and vitality of a first record.

Ms Dwyer said it was a return to U2's essential sound.

"They don't take anything for granted. They are still fresh. They are still hungry," she said.

Ms Dwyer also confirmed tour plans.

"U2 is looking forward to touring this record and they will be here in 2005," she said.

U2 is one of the big gun releases planned for the run-up to Christmas. Others include new albums by Eminem, Delta Goodrem and Anthony Callea.
October 20th, 2004 07:57 PM
Soldatti I read that the new U2 album will sell 3 million copies on the first week and will reach 5 million before the end of year. In US alone will sell +700,000 on the first week and already got almost 30,000 internet pre-orders on this last two weeks.
