Hey Folks, this is currently running in Beverly Hills 213 Magazine, in Cathy Griffin's column:
While she may be the daughter of the late director Stanley Kramer and goddaughter of Katharine Hepburn, Katharine Kramer has always worked diligently to forge ahead with her own career as a singer, actress, and producer. It's hard to think of a more persistent networker. Kat is at every event known to man in Hollywood, so it's great to be able to announce her latest project, "The Glimmer Twins." Coinciding with the 40th anniversary of the Rolling Stones touring, she's working on "The Glimmer Twins," an album, documentary, and coffee table book, which explores Mick Jagger and Keith Richards for their genius songwriting over the years. Kramer says, "I'm recording an album of their solo songs and more obscure material, with an emphasis on their love songs. I'm focusing more on the the romantic, introspective side of these men, which has never been done before." Katharine, who scores a duet with Billy Preston on the soundtrack of an upcoming film, has tapped key musicians who worked with the Stones to play on each track. Legendary photographer William Claxton is doing photos for the book. Clax has a trademark style that captures artists during their most unguarded moments. And there's more. Katharine tells me Russell Crowe's band, Thirty Odd Foot of Grunts, is involved in the album and documentary, with Dave Wilkins as producer, along with Texas-based filmmaker Bryant Jackson shooting the documentary, along with Dave Kelly, who's playing drums. The project is being developed in L.A. and Australia.
...that's Hollywood Gossip!
