Maxmeister This just sucks. The serious partying that I know is going on will help, at least short term. But, nothing will alleviate the pain of possibly missing the last opportunity to rock with the Stones.
I raise my Corona to all of you.

Poplar I put good $$ into a hotel for Saturday in LA.
I can't do Sunday night.
I feel like the band has already sold me out for that show.

Great.

FotiniD God dammit, what a bummer! I logged on so anxious to read all the reviews and the setlist and... Aargh! I just hope it was indeed a sore throat and not all the other theories that have surfaced...

So sad for all my friends being let down at the very last minute At least it's only postponed, not cancelled! I hope you can all make it on November 17!

Bitch The show was cancelled between the time I left my house and the time I got to AC. As I entered the AC Bar & Grill high on cloud 9, I went to greet Stonesdoug at his table. All faces were gloomy. and then he told me the show had been cancelled. Everyone was somber sitting around feeling really bad about it. But I said we're here anyway so we might as well go on with the party. About an hour later, Stonesdoug was saying the show was rescheduled for Nov. 17th so the mood changed and people were a little happier. I hung around with the fans for 5 or 6 hours, talking to the ROCKS OFF people and everyone was cool. Some of the fans travelled from London, Holland, Belgium, Netherlands, Germany, Japan, and all over the US. I didnt feel so bad after talking to dozens of people who spent money on airfare, hotel rooms, car rentals, etc. when for me it was only a short car ride to get there. Plus, it streatches out ABB for another month for me, and it's another excellent excuse to party and get out of the house, so I'm not too disappointed. I am mainly concerned for MICK's recovery, and I dont think the outdoor Stadium shows that the RS have been playing recently have been a good idea. It's not good for the band's health and the fan's were complaining about standing in the cold and rain too. Good health is the most important thing in life, if you don't have it than everything else suffers. GET WELL MICK!!

egon november 17th is a good date.

nankerphelge Ouch!

My haid hurts

Did what Dr. Riffy suggested and caught Taj with Scope and his wife, PDog, glencar, chevysales, monkeyman, and bumped into Saint Sway. It was fun but it wasn't IT!

Paul Stanley was also playing at the HOB so there was a contingent of KISS fans everywhere. Just added to the misery.

Think today I will try and catch Tony Orlando or the Price Is Right live stage show before I throw myself from the roof.

Not a bad consolation prize though. If you're one of these people who believe that "everything happens for a reason."

rnbbird I am happy for you folks in AC that get a new date for the show. My concerns are: if/how they are going to pull off back-to-back shows, (which hasn't happened in a long while), let alone traveling cross-country. Is the L.A. crowd going to get short-changed? This will be my 7th of the tour, and I am flying from Denver; will we get a tired, jet-lagged performance? Like I wrote, I am happy the right-coasters still get your show, but can't help but wonder if the scheduling decision is a SMART one for our boys.
Peace,
Rnbbird

I had it posted on here at 2.20 pm ET the moment I heard it was probably off. I had it confirmed about two minutes later. I think it was officially called off at around 2 pm but obviously rs.com or TM didnt bother mentioning it at the time as they were more interested in continuing to sell tickets for a show that was going to be rescheduled

So, had you checked here or anywhere else at 1 pm, you still wouldnt have heard about any postponement

GotToRollMe I got home about an hour ago, 'round midnight. It's now Sunday morning. What a fuckin' heartbreaker. It's gonna be hard to get the money together to do this again on November 17th...and I don't even have to fly or reserve a room. I really feel for the people who came from Europe or from across the country and had to get hotel rooms. That's a big hit to the pocket right there.

That being said, it was great to see everyone. I met a bunch of really nice folks...Pdog, Sweet Virginia, Jaggergurl, Scope, Bitch, Stonesdoug, OldKR, Chevysales, and Jumping Jack...as well as seeing some familiar faces again...LJ, Tom, Nanky, Glencar...and a bunch more I can't remember because I was pretty toasted. I'm not a drinker, but I started drinking like a pro right after I heard about the cancellation. This resulted in me pouring myself into a cab by around 8:30 and waking up on Saturday with an unused Taj Mahal ticket in my pocket.

This was going to be my "last Stones show." I know a lot of people felt this way too. I think this is what stings more than anything.

----------------------------------------------------------

Anyway, in case anyone missed it, I got shut out of the Beacon and I want to go...badly. I'm local and can get there quickly. So if anyone has an extra, PM me please.
Thank you for your anticipated cooperation in this matter. Goodnight and good luck.

Sir Stonesalot >GET WELL MICK!!<

Get well? From what? He was well enough the very next day to do a full rehearsal at the Beacon. Let that sink in for a second. Mere hours after saying that his throat was too sore to perform in AC, he did a full rehearsal in NYC. Bitch, I know this is hard to hear but you need to hear it, Stones Inc. LIED to you. Mick is, and was, perfectly healthy. Stones Inc simply decided that all of you folks who went to AC were NOT IMPORTANT. Bubba, Marty, and the DVD filming took priority over YOU and the thousands of others who made the trip to AC.

Please don't go to the 11/17 show. Tell Stones Inc. that enough is enough.

Take that refund money and buy your loved ones something nice. Why should you give that $$$ to a corporation that doesn't give a rat's ass about you.

Send a LOUD & CLEAR message to Stones Inc...."Enough is enough, we will take NO MORE!". Do you really want your last show to be under those circumstances? Stones Inc. just pissed in your face...are you sure you want to go to that show and tell them that it was OK? Don't do it. Respect yourself. Take that refund, and use it for the people who love you...don't give it to a corporation who doesn't give a fuck about you.
