SweetVirginia Update from Chicago:

I spoke to LJ twice today. They loved the show. It never rained, but the wind was brutal and the temperature was bone-chilling. Pammy was touched by all the comments Mick made thanking the crowd for coming out in the cold.

Our crazy friends closed the Kinsgston Mines after the concert. I believe that some of them must have been up for 24 hours at that point. They had a blast, but in LJ's words, this morning everyone was "totally damaged".

The internet access in the hotel rooms is down, so they're communicating by phone.

They have since regrouped, taken in some alcohol (for medicinal purposes, I'm sure) and are headed to the sauna at the hotel. Tele is still with them...they are having a blast.

Tonight they plan a lavish dinner (Mortons? Gibsons?) and perhaps more drinking.....

SV

Dude, if you can't drink at work then its time to get a better job. Or maybe a worse job.

I agree 110%. It's been three years or so since I started working for myself out of the "home office." It's great...drink beer all day if the spirit moves and it often does, blast R n R out of the big speakers on my desk, post, read posts, fuck off, periodic naps, etc...the downside is that I actually don't get much work done some days except when I have to pull my own chestnuts out of the fire.

nankerphelge Yes the Alert has been lifted.

Thanks for your concern!

Agreed....I had to come to the realization not too long ago that I am not 26 anymore and the body just can't handle this type of "college years binge drinking". Besides, it becomes far to expensive and sacrifices funds that could be better invested (my reco of the day is invest in OIL!)

SweetVirginia They are now facing code red security at their hotel because President Bush is expected there momentarily. Nanky and Tele are as excited as they were about seeing the Stones.

We fear that LJ will not be able to pass muster with the Secret Service.

LadyJane Wow...you guys are really enjoying this!!!

Well now we are on the lookout for Prez Bush who is speaking and staying at our Hotel this evening.

Lobby is insane with security. I've never seen anything like this.

Needless to say, Glencar, Nanky and Tele are behaving like Groupies!!!!

I'm going to take a nap!!

WE miss you all.

My review will follow...too much to take in at the moment.

I will say though that our dear Keith is in trouble. I shed many tears last night.

LJ.

be careful about posting stuff like that LJ, apparently, if any theory about Keith aside from him being "The RiffMaster" or "God" will result in the boards sheep attacking you.

I advise changing your post to say, "I will say though that our dear Keith was on the stage last night. I shed many tears of joy as I watched the RIFFMASTER work!"

It was nice to see you again yesterday.

SweetVirginia This photo just in from Summit Day Two....

It looks very much like Day One. Same bar, same activity, different clothes.
