(Toronto - September 19th, 2001) MuchMusic, MuchMoreMusic, and Toronto radio stations CHUM FM, Edge 102 and KISS 92 today announced that a benefit concert and discussion forum, "Music Without Borders" will take place inside the MuchMusic Environment Sunday, September 23rd at 4pm ET.
An interactive outlet for artists and youth, "Music Without Borders" will shed light on the emotions, issues and questions surrounding the September 11th tragedies. In addition, information on how viewers can lend support to fundraising and other efforts will also be featured.
This Canadian broadcast initiative welcomes international and homegrown superstars Shaggy, Barenaked Ladies, Sarah McLachlan (from Vancouver), Gord Downie & Dinner Is Ruined w/ Julie Doiron, The Tea Party, Baby Blue Soundcrew, Treble Charger, SUM 41 and more - to perform and contribute to the discussion.
"Music Without Borders" will be broadcast LIVE and commercial free on MuchMusic, MuchUSA, MuchMoreMusic, Star! The Entertainment Information Station, Canadian Learning Television and CourtTV Canada - with portions of the program airing on CHUM FM, Edge 102 and KISS 92.
