Ex-Rolling Stone Mick Taylor and pub landlord Denny Newman have decided to make their Christmas Jam at Diss an annual event.

Last year's concert proved so popular that they had to arrange an extra show for fans who could not get tickets. It also prompted calls from other musicians keen to get involved.

"The atmosphere surrounding the whole thing was amazing. Apart from selling out twice, the phone never stopped. Calls from old friends wanting to be part of the shows, even Mick Jagger's brother Chris called," said Mr Newman,

"It seems there are lots of musicians who want to get back to gigs where you can see and connect with the audience."

He runs the Railway Tavern at Mellis, near Eye, and plays with his own band the Blues Regulars.

Mick Taylor lives in the area and the initial jam came about after he popped into the pub to reminisce.

Snowy White, one of the country's finest guitarists, has been invited to join in the concert at 7pm on Saturday December 13 at the Corn Hall, Diss. Also appearing are keyboard player Max Middleton, Scott Newman, base, and John Lingwood, drums

Buy tickets, price 12.50, at the Railway Tavern on 01379 783416, and Revolution Records, Mere Street, Diss.
