Altamont Learning The Game from Austin

Phog Cool. Better than the version they did in Chicago.
23rd October 2006 05:28 PM
Saint Sway thanks for the Learning The Game link. Thats always been one of my favorites from the Keith boots along with Kathys Clown

I started a thread recently suggesting that Keith play a cover in his set. Glad he took my advice!

I pledge to continue to use my powers for good and not evil.

glencar After listening to that video, all I can say is, "Why weren't they doing this song years ago????"
23rd October 2006 05:44 PM
Mel Belli Cool arrangement of "Learning the Game." When I first saw that Keith did the tune in the "ballad" slot, I assumed he and Ronnie played acoustics. The midtempo rock thing turned out well.

Yes it did. Clangin' Telecaster from KR sounded pretty damn fine.

______________

THAT IS MY FUCKING BAND!!!!!!

What a beautiful moment! These guys (especially Keith)were hanging on the ropes for a spell, but have come out swinging again!

I didn't see the boys in Seattle...now I wish I had. I have been told they played a very solid show and Keith was very animated and playing was up to snuff - though I also heard Ronnie has kicked it up a notch and is doing some of his best live playing ever.

It would appear tales of Keith's demise were premature, and I for one couldn't be happier. I do think he is hurting a lot more this tour than ever before, but is really gritting his teeth and charging ahead.

If I am blessed to hit old age, I hope I face it with as much impudent disregard as Keith and Co.

Totally agree. I can't believe this was only the 2nd time they played this live. It's a smokin version. I was there and this was one of the highlights of the show for me.
