Kent Morrill is part of the recently revived Wailers, the legendary band from
Tacoma, Washington, that beginning in 1959 helped define the Northwest
rock sound and were the true originators of the "Louie Louie" phenomena.
Keith Richards said the Wailers were an early influence on the Rolling
Stones, George Harrison of the Beatles said he listened to Wailers albums
"from day one" and when Nirvana made the Northwest the center of the rock
universe in the 1990s, the Wailers got much of the credit. The Wailers Album
cover is pictured in this undated handout photo.
