Ten Thousand Motels 'EXHAUSTED' KINKS STAR CANCELS TOUR

British rocker RAY DAVIES has had to cancel his planned autumn tour of the UK due to exhaustion. The ex KINKS frontman, 62, has recently finished a run of dates in the US, but he is so run down he has rescheduled his British concerts for next May (07). Davies' spokesman confirms, "Unfortunately, Ray Davies' planned tour across the UK this autumn has been postponed due to the singer's current ill health. "Mr Davies is disappointed to not be able to complete the tour at this time yet is hoped to have a speedy recovery."

Hannalee Just re-booked my Albert Hall ticket - I'm actually in a better spot now (front row of the stalls).

I'm not normally cynical about these things, but there was a marked paucity of ticket sales for the autumn dates and now there'll be only one night at the RAH instead of two...

I must be channelling Joshy.

arly on in his presidency, Putin called for "wiping out Chechen rebels in the outhouse."

He once suggested that a French reporter who had posed an uncomfortable question about abuses against civilians in Chechnya should travel to Russia for a circumcision. "I would recommend that he who does the surgery does it so you'll have nothing growing back, afterward," Putin said.

In June, foreign news executives were taken aback when Putin hit back at a question about whether Russia would favor sanctions against Iran if it failed to stop enriching uranium.

"What if my grandmother had certain sexual attributes?" he snapped, dismissing the question as merely rhetorical. "Then she would be my grandfather."
