I guess I'm pussled by the choice of rain fall down as the nest single. It seems it's a topic not worth writing about and Mick's feeling sorry for himself (and Jude Law). Musically funk light really. I don't hate the song like I hate Streets of Love. I'd say it's among the top 14 songs on Bigger Bang.
Why not release a good song like Oh No Not You Again. I think people may actually like that one. |

Unfortunately The Stones seem to have either had very bad suggestions from the various record companies over choices of single releases since GHS, or they just don't really care. It's always been a bit hit or miss as far as singles are concerned. I think initial sales have often been knackered by their choice of singles to promote a new album, then again who really gives a toss about singles anymore? I never bought one unless it had some rareity not availible on the album. |

The tour is it.
Other than that, there seems to be no plan. |

Operation Market Garden was a plan... It's a British thing, most of us don't understand! If they let a good American do this, the 1st single would've been ONNYA... Who cares about the cursing... LIND would've been 2nd followed by RJ... They would also be playing the new stuff live! ALOT! |

I guess it is confusing wherever. What if they released "Let me Down Slow" targeted to the country charts and Oh No Not You Again targeted to the main Stream and Heritage Rocks charts. I can't see 63 year old Mick competing with the type of young folks chronically close orgasm that I see in dance/hip hop videos. I don't see why they don't just have porn music vidoes. How much further can they take it? Porn Music videos could be an up and coming niche. As similarity betwwen dance videos and soft porn is an indication of why 63 year old should not be competing in that realm.
I don't understand British taste so I won't take that on. I was flipping through Uncut Magazine at Borders Book in New Hampshire and noticed that the choices for best British songs ever are by Oasis and Blur. I guess it takes all kinds.... |

I think picking a single should be easier than picking a nose but apparently too many cooks spoil the soup. |
