im listing to the fine recording of chartlottsville. Jagger singing Sympathy for the devil. once again jagger omits the verse,
I watched with glee while your kings and queens fought for
ten decades for the gods they made , i shouted out who killed the kennedys after all it was you and me. What are you afraid
of jagger ? offending the kennedy family ? sing the damn song the way it was written or don't sing it at all ! |

I read somewhere there was actually a teleprompter on stage for Jagger. I thought Stonesdoug posted it but can't remember.

I wouldnt be suprised. I think most acts have it now. Just to fall back on if they begin to struggle. |

You should be ashamed of yourself.
Buddy, singing in his age is a darn hard work - you'll see Keef jerking his axes for many years after Mick has quitted his "singing".
You can tell me he's just another greedy asshole, or he's wearing a pussywig or something - but please don't make bad jokes about the issue he'll had to give up very soon. |

Jagger sang it the same way on the HBO concert during the licks tour and both nights in philly this past week. im saying if you're going to omit the verse don't sing the damn thing. |

I guess you are allowed your grievance, but wasn't there a saying: it's not what you say, but how you say it... |

Nearly every act has a telepromoter on Stage, many times though it is used for wardrobe cues....watch At The Max during Ruby Tuesday, the teleprompter tells Mick what outfit to wear. |

I wish they would sing some other songs the way they were written. Namely, Satisfaction, which should never have been changed around in the first place. And I would love to hear I Just Want To Make Love To You like it was recorded, not the slower version, even though that's how it was written. |

Mr. Talky,
You definitely don't need it:
