Topic: Mick film blasted Return to archive
10-08-01 10:52 AM
CS ENIGMA, Mick Jagger’s debut film as a producer, has been blasted by a Polish war veteran.

Josef Garlinski’s recollections inspired the Robert Harris novel that was made into the film about wartime code-breakers.

But Garlinski says the movie ignores Polish heroes who captured the machine that enabled Nazi codes to be broken and wrongly says a Polish spy was at the base.

He says: “For some people it is only a story. But for Poles it is history.”
