Gazza,
Please file this thread on the very top of the list of embarrassingly stupid posts made by Pug. Yes, even above "What I Have Learned From JB" and the stupid one about how to succeed in sales...

Pug,
Please change your signature to: "I AM A FUCKING MORON". Since this is the stupidest thing you've come up with in a long line of stupid shit you've written.

Keith did not have a stroke. I can say with 100% certainty! Not even a minor one. He would not be cleared to play. He would not be capable. As bad as he may of been last night he has not suffered a stroke. I have seen what a stroke can do to someone of Keiths age. They can not go out and tour every night. Thats a fact.

Keith is just shot. He has been for years. Its been a steady decline. You're just a fucking retard for not noticing it until now.

About 50 feet south of Will Call, so it was on the property.

The (amateur) ticket seller, wasn't Omaha'ed, he was McCaskey'ed.

Prior to the 10/31/02 Staples Center show I escorted off the property by a security guard who radioed in my description as he was walking me to the corner. He told me if I came back I would be arrested for trespassing.

I found the ticket in the exact section I wanted to sit (Premier, Keith's side, PA level 2 sections back) off the property for $200, then took off my hat and jacket and went on in.

Yesterday, I clearly heard the security tell the ticket seller that he was under arrest as they pushed him about fifteen feet to the wall of the underpass. I think I saw handcuffs, but am not so sure about that, as it happened so fast.

oldkr keith has had some minor and expected short term memory problems which are getting less severe coupled with the odd senior moment.

JoHn, it may not have been that he couldnt remember rambler, but rathr his fingers had locked, this happens to keith frequently in the cold.

Saint Sway Pug,

you really should delete the stuff you wrote about Keith having a stroke. You sound like an idiot.
12th October 2006 01:14 PM
Honky Tonk Man I'm with Saint Sway. No way has Keith suffered a stroke. Firstly, he wouldn’t have been medically cleared and secondly, I VERY much doubt he'd even be able to even pick a guitar up.

As Saint Sway stated, WHAT IS a fact is that Keith is just loosing it. He's been in slow decline for a decade or so; it’s caused by his every worsening arthritis and possibly, alcoholism.
12th October 2006 01:19 PM
Sir Stonesalot >The arrest I saw up close yesterday was not done by uniformed Chicago cops. It was done by private(?) security guys (at least according to the windbreakers they wore). <

Security does not have arrest powers. There is no such thing as a "citizen's arrest". They can only escort you off their property. If you heard the words "You are under arrest.", then it came from 5-O.

If it really was Security, then they overstepped their bounds big time. In fact, you could probably sue them.

eXiLe oN 2nD sT i dunno what to think, Keef wasnt his self when I seen him at Giants, I seen that with me own 2 eyes. Im always greedy and want them to come back, but I think its because they always seem like thats what they want to do. They probably should rest up for at least 2 years, but I hate saying that cause they are only going to get older.

oldkr HTM, keiths alcoholism is a GIVEN, it was the weather and his arthritis, all this stroke speculation is a little worrying

jb Why doesn't everyone lay off John..he is a dam nice guy and expressed his opinion..this board is known for it's tolerance of others opinions, and I think Pug was very careful to state it was his opinion, and not fact. Pug has done a lot of nice things for many of us, and just b/c you disagree with his post, is no reason to take it personally.

Oldkr is , imo, the greatest resource on Keith....and a helluva nice guy as well.
12th October 2006 01:26 PM
Honky Tonk Man Of course OLDKR is right. When did he have this stroke? He was fine at Twickenham. His problems are down to his fingers and at this show in particular, the cold weather.
12th October 2006 01:29 PM
Yap Yap Oh God,more Keith had a stroke talk.Where is the real evidence of this "fact"? Maybe the Rocks Off doctors should put the shovels away till someone who knows what their talking about comes along and give news,if any is required,on Keith's condition.

What Pug wrote about Keith having a stroke is pure dog shit.

I understand you wanting to defend your friend, but think about the crap he just posted on this board for a second...

Look at it this way... If Woody has a bad night is it ok for us to speculate that he has brain cancer and that the cancer has not only spread throughout his entire body not only affecting his muscle mass but also an MRI would show that he has no brain activity...

c'mon!!

Keiths on the decline. You've even said it before yourself. But to say that hes suffered a stroke is preposterous. Its a horrible rumor to spread on the internet.

Pug may be clueless. But you know better.

More things have been said about Keith Richard, and his physical state, than probably any other rocker in history. In fact, many mean spirited things, far worse than speculating on whether he had a stroke have been stated om late night shows. More than one person has opined about Keith's stage prsence, or lack thereof, since the return tour. Many theories have been thrown out there, and I don't see why John should be ridiculed for his own opinions.....I recall far worse speculation at the time of the accident. I thought John's post was drafted by someone really concerned about a guy he loves...Maybe the stroke stuff is a little too speculative, but give the guy a break...his intentions were good.

Listen to Glasgow - imho, an "A" show, with Keith (and the band) kicking all kinds of ass. great boot!!!
Listen to Wichita - the BEST of the US Fall shows, and Keith really struggles.

I have no freaking clue as to why, but something is up. Keith, if by chance you're reading this - take care of yourself.
12th October 2006 01:45 PM
Saint Sway if Mick has an off night or cancells a show due to "illness" will Pug start a thread saying he has AIDS?

And if anyone is going to suffer for that - It's Keith.
Next show is Seattle, which should be warmer. They also have some time off between now and then. I'm anxious to see what kind of reports we get next week with better weather and some time to rest. I'll be he comes around a bit.

Sad to see you reacting this way Sway, but you are entitled to your own opinion. I must say though, I never thought of all people you would turn out to be a stones "YES MAN".

Thanks for the input to those who disagreed and agreed intelligently!

And as Josh said, I am not the first to opinionize this on the stones message boards, and certainly won't be the last.

I shall still pray for you.

luxury1 please, Saint Sway, dont mince words...

thanks, Pug, for taking the time to post your review and thoughts--always interesting.

What OldKR is reporting makes sense to me. ( I never heard your dope theory, Fiji, but I do hope it's incorrect...)

Get to Jamaica, Keith--soak up the sun, smoke some weed and relax.

I fear our beloved Keith is very ill. Several times members of the band would be "checking with him". It is my decision that Mr. Richards had suffered a stroke at some point.

i take this very seriously. i know a little bit about strokes my old man had one when he was 69 years old. he ended up passing away almost a year after it happened. strokes can be so minor as to be virtually undetectable or so major that you pass in very short time.
12th October 2006 02:06 PM
nankerphelge I don't think we have a stroke issue. It was really cold.

REALLY COLD

At one point Ketih was trying a solo out on the end of the catwalk and he shook his hand and made a gesture as if he were freezing.

Ronnie had a blue scarf on all night.

Charlie was rumoured to be wearing a red 80s era snorkle jacket.

The wind is still howling outside the hotel window now.

I do think the head injury had some effect -- he does not seem as aware of what is going on around him I noticed. But I wouldn't chalk up his playing last night to much beyond the frigid temps.

Oh and She Was Hot was incredible.
