Virgin Megastore Sunset Hosts Evening With Legendary Rock Photographer Ethan Russell

Who: Multi Grammy nominated photographer and director, Ethan Russell, will be showcasing his famous photographs of John Lennon, the Rolling Stones, Jim Morrison, the Who and many more as well as videos of kd lang, Paul Simon, Rickie Lee Jones, Hank Williams Jr and others in a special presentation at Virgin Megastore, Sunset. The evening will highlight Russell's 30 year career as a photographer and film director.

What: Ethan Russell, the only photographer to have created album covers for the Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Who, will be hosting a display of his work and a Q&A/meet and greet session with the press and his fans. The famous photographer, who was also a pioneer in the music video business a decade before MTV was born, will feature his photographs and videos with his legendary clientele, Joni Mitchell, Linda Ronstadt, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jim Morrison, John Lennon, Emmylou Harris, members of The Who, The Rolling Stones and others. Bill Wyman of the Rolling Stones said, "He has taken some of the greatest pictures in rock and roll ... maybe the greatest ever." Fans can get an up close and personal look at Ethan Russell's work as it will be on display at Virgin Megastore, Sunset from October 2-16. As a special offer, Virgin customers who purchase one of a select group of 28 CDs and DVDs by some of the artists that Russell has worked with during his 30-year career including The Who, The Eagles, The Doors and Janis Joplin to name a few, will receive a free poster designed by Russell that includes some of his most famous images.
